It is very uncomfortable. I am terrified of my husband b/c he gets n a rage when I don't submit. I submit for my kids because we need a home and they need a father. I have gone to gyno and they can't find anything wrong. The Dr. prescribed me progesterone but the scary side effects scare me from usi...

Can't say how much I hate it. My hub does not understand. I just try to go somewhere else in my mind and endure it for as long as I can b/c I know if he goes I will be alone.

Touch and smell are too much for me. Also, I carry a grudge for centuries and my anger gets in the way.

I am a sub teacher and the students always ask me where I am from. I live 245 miles in the south from where I grew up. Until I found out about asp dx, I thought I talked proper. Black people said I sound like a "white girl". Now, I believe the weird sound of voice has to do with the aspie traits. I ...

I agree about the feeling of unemployment. I am not "unemployed". I have a job as a substitute teacher. I like the kids but I don't make very much and some of the rougher schools cause me tons of anxiety. I feel like I want to run at top speed, jump in my car and head homeward. I am lucky that my hu...

I have disabled my doorbell because even the surprise sound of notification irritates me. I believe everyone should give 3 days notice so I can prep. Sometimes, I see tv shows where friends are constantly stopping by to hang out. I want a couple of friends but not people who stop by randomly. I hate...

Maybe your moms are Aspies too or maybe they have some other mental irregularity. I know how you all feel because my gr-mother raised me and she was not the warmest or most sensitive. Now, I think she had aspergers and did not know it. In a way I feel superior to her and all other family member who ...

My 9 year old son was just dx and I dx myself. I had suspected this dx for several years but a doctor and co-worker said no. In a sense I don't see a reason to know because I feel that there is no cure and no hope. Only now I know I'll never get to live in the state I want to move to in my older yea...

Thanks Wolf and Mountain. I appreciate your kindness. And they say Aspies cannot understand what other people feel. I feel that a gigantic trick has been played on me at 43 years of age. I just had this picture in my mind of a Thanksgiving dinner with my children and grandchildren in 20 years. I jus...

This is a rant. If you are the type to get depressed or super-duper sensitive SKIP this post now. I am a newly self-diagnosed and I am hurting so bad. I am just venting. I just figured out in the last two weeks that my two kids are aspies, I'm a aspie and my husband probably has a touch of aspie. At...

I recently self diagnosed myself and am also African American (black!). I understand what you have been through. I have also experienced the same and am glad I am married. I made different choices in regards to men and went with another race. Now I know why I never had the feeling that I belonged to...
