your list of current drugs makes me feel very anxious. Also, ECT is known to cause brain damage and sometimes severe, permanent memory loss. When the psychiatry suggested that to me, I got so mad at them for suggesting such a barbaric and dangerous "treatment" that I refused to see them, anymore. T...

Also, my physical recovery isn't going so well. I previously had elevated liver enzymes from autoimmune hepatitis and am now experiencing complications from that. I'm still experiencing bouts of confusion that last minutes to hours. I don't know if I'll physically recover. I am not sure that I care ...

Thank you all so much for your replies. I am getting as much help as I can at the moment. I see my psychiatrist once per month and I have a case worker. I just signed up to take a CBT class as well. I am now taking different meds than before. I now take 150mg nortriptyline, 1 mg clonazepam twice a d...

I tried to kill myself 2 weeks ago and it almost worked. I did "die" at some point, but was revived. I was in a coma for 3 days and horribly confused for days after I woke up. I couldn't make any sense when I was trying to speak, my thoughts didn't make much sense. I had to be restrained at some poi...

Any abnormal sensation in my body can make me scared that there is something wrong with me. I tend to worry most over abdominal pain and headaches, thinking I have appendicitis or a brain aneurysm. I used to worry about my heart, but I turned out to actually have something wrong and then had procedu...

I have found that for sure! I have been annoyed by toddlers and children, but then I feel badly that I feel so angry towards them for, really, just being kids. It is definitely much worse when I am already feeling stressed out.

I left home last August at the age of 28. It was difficult for the first 2 or 3 months to get used to looking after myself and my space without help, and being by myself almost all the time. I still feel stressed out about being alone so much sometimes, but I like living on my own too much to give i...

It is for GAD and panic disorder and also helps with my migraines. |

I experience a similar lack of emotion and the neuropsychologist said it was alexithymia. I do have emotions sometimes, but it is difficult for me to recognize them and experience them. I do feel sad or angry or anxious at times, but the feelings always have to do with something that directly affect...

I seem to pass for NT no matter who I'm around when I'm calm and not overwhelmed. I come across as a bit quirky, but within the "norm". I don't pass for NT when I'm overwhelmed and overstimulated, though, but people just assume I'm quite mentally ill during those times.

I mostly use previously prepared text files in Voicedream. I have one for medical situations that explains my medical issues, my aspergers, and my allergies. I also have a generic one that explains that I'm overwhelmed and need to sit somewhere quiet or dimly lit and that I will regain my speech onc...

I have similar behaviours when I am very stressed or overwhelmed. I have some control over it, I can postpone it until I am alone and I can usually make myself stop after awhile. I have hit myself until I have caused harm, though, I'm currently recovering from a dislocated thumb from hitting myself ...

Thank you for replying, it helps me feel a little less alone. Living alone with my cat has been difficult. I'm glad I have my cat, but I worry what to do with him if I ever get hospitalized. I see my case worker in a little over a week, my psychiatrist in just under a month. I just have to keep goin...

I've been depressed for a few weeks quite badly. Now I've quit school because it was too hard and broken up with my partner of nearly 10 years. I'm on new meds that make me sleep all the time and I don't know how I feel. I know I don't feel good about my life, but I feel kind of numbed. I'm scared o...
