No real basis here. Have heard a few Aspies mention that they have an easier time with dyslexics than most NT's. l think the two disorders are related a lot more closely than classifications would lead one to believe (dyslexia itself being much more than reading/language based issue), but clearly cl... |

it's weird they woudln't talk more about why they chose to label you with the autistic traits. l don't know, it seems like if a doctor is going to do that they would understand the person is going to research Asperger's. Sometimes ''autistic" is used in a casual way with clinicians, meaning involved... |

l think a degree of apathy is good. Empathy is so misunderstood. ln some ways, all empathy can really do is chain a person to a way of being or a set of ideas by allowing that person to "feel" one with their surroundings. lt doesn't mean they won't develop hate or resentment against their group or t... |

l think it's basically the cause of the impairment with TOM when it comes to other people. The whole thing seems very misunderstood by NT's. This is one area of AS l do identify with somewhat. l look at it like not having a focus on your "self",you don't feel like your own thoughts come from inside ... |

lf people don't like being them described as "silly", maybe consider that they are useful indicator that you have autistic traits but in no way a qualified diagnostic tool by themselves. If you mean me - erm, that's exactly what I said, before you, if you read my posts. ok. l honestly don't ... |

You sound like you have the flexible sense of self due to lack a true sense of self on some level. that's my main issue, l suspect it just leads to my other weird qualities. That's present in some people with AS and not others. Some people with AS are not at all able to be anyone but themselves. lt'... |

Because they are a very crafty sort of NT who takes on a victim role and successfully makes people believe they want no personal gain. Since most dorms that allow trans identified students are just taking the much easier route of making the dorms entirely gender neutral, l have to think about the larger implications. Heterosexual, cisgendered men and women together? FTMs roomed with cisgendered men... And as l'm sure we all know, n... |
