I've mentioned that I've done PI work and bounty hunting when I was in Bham, but a good friend of mine who is retired LEO and retired military is doing that now and he's offered me a job. I've been doing some skip tracing for him and I go with him when he goes to pick up females and also sometimes w...

I am really sorry for your condition. I did everything in my power to read this whole thread. Though, admittedly, I did scan. I've been suspending my judgment this whole time, trying to imagine that you are serious about all of this. I even had a psychotic episode at St. Bede's Catholic Church last...

I didn't have to learn. I've been racist ever since I was just a little sperm. After all, I am a white cis het male. That means, in addition to my racism, I am also transphobic, homophobic, and sexist. I assume you're being sarcastic. I think he's just Mormon. Diana Ross made them officially not ra...

Woman's Libber here, and no it's not sexist. I call myself a woman's libber instead of a feminist to distance myself from the fainting couch feminism of the third wave that portrays us all as victims whose delicate sensibilities can't handle certain words and we will have hysteria and the vapors if...

NBC, CBS, ABC. The big three major and original networks.they, along with the more intellectual PBS that also had educational children's shows, were what made up pretty much all of tv for about the first 25 years or so. Tv used to be very different. And free. Networks have stricter standards and pra...

If people want to use offending taste then I want to nominate Flowers in the Attic, St Elmos Fire, and all the slapstick spoof movies along the lines of Airplane, Police Acadamy, and the Scream movies. ;-) And of course Twilight. for those who hate how she completely s**t all over traditional vampir...

I'd like the OP to tell me how it's hypocrisy and irrational to shoot a dog that is attacking your sheep. Also, if they had to put the dog down after it was shot, how is that wrong? If it's hurt why just let it die naturally?

Someone mentioned offensiveness in movies on another thread so I thought I'd ask people what shows and movies they find offensive and why.

List away please.

I started watching it for Tom Selleck but he disappointed me. The show seems to be overly and rigidly moralistic about some things. Tom Selleck is very much a Mary Sue in it as is Len Carou who is his dad and the son Jamie and basically everybody but Donnie Wahlberg who is the older son. I really li...

Never listened to them but I do like Donnie Wahlberg and think he's turned into a really good actor. I like him in Blue Bloods.

Several people say my youngest son looks just like this one guy in One Direction. They showed me a photo and he really does.

Yup and they're doing a remake of it. I'm not sure how to feel about that. It could be great or it could be crap. The previous director quit because the studio wants to make an It film that doesn't offend anyone..... :( It will prob be as bad as the new Ghostbusters What in the world offended anyon...

I likes it when it came out some because I had read the books. I used to love them as a kid. As an adult though I don't care for it. It's very simplistic and not at all real sometimes. I understand that the point wasn't to be real but to have a family values show and get a moral across, but the book...
