I've actually been in a similar situation.

I hadn;t noticed the person look at my name badge and when they spoke to me by name I responded by asking "How do you know my name?"

Rude.

I posted once before about how I wear the same clothes over and over. I'm not actually diagnosed, but I believe I probably do have an ASD, or that I certainly have some traits anyway. A particular problem I have is with clothing. Always wearing the same few items. I recently tried to mix this up a b...

Hi

On seeing someone outside - in a street, in town etc. Do you say hello?

If so, is it before or after they say Hello to you?

If they didn't say Hello would you walk past?

If you don't, why not? How do you feel?

Do you feel a need to greet people to avoid them being offended?

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone diagnosed with an ASD could answer the following questions. If your not diagnosed, please feel free to reply too, but please mention that your not diagnosed. As a child, could you pretend play? (to any extent) As a child, could you create fictional stories? (to an...

I know this question may seem naive, and I do not mean any offence by it either. But after reading that there are some jobs that people with different diagnoses can't do I have this question. So, can people with a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder work in psychology? Also, can those with a di...

I'm not sure if I would consider that either stimming, or a sensory thing - or maybe a mix of both? Thats only my thoughts though. well i do it repeatedly and compulsively sometimes. like i'm when agitated as a way to deal with emotions i guess. i thought it was sensory, but i do it repeatedly and ...

Yes, I regularly play pool. Its good because you can talk about the game, talk about a specific interest - or not talk much at all. And you don't need to maintain a high level of eye contact.

I haven't noticed a tone. But I'm not a very active member.

When I joined I felt very welcomed, more than at some other forums. I've always found people who I've interacted with on here to be nice and helpful. :)

Does anyone suffer from panic attacks and an anxiety/panic disorder?

When did they begin?

How often do you get them?

Do you think it is as a result of an ASD or unrelated?

I'm currently suffering from (in my opinion) very severe ones and wondering if it is a common thing?

When I started attending job interviews, I realised that eye contact was a big (although to some people natural non concerning) factor in how you come accross. I then tried to learn to make eye contact and maintain it etc... However it feels like I'm staring, instead of just making eye contact... An...

These beeps come from the frier and the unit which keeps some of the food (chicken) warm. I thought it was standard, i always wondered what it was. How could it be the fryer though? When i was there i heard 10 beeps within 10 seconds, they can't all be done so fast. I didn't think it was so bad Each...
