This guy called Sean Cooper has really helped me in his articles - I felt like I needed to share it. I'm not sure that I'm allowed to post links, but you can simply google "Sean Cooper Shyness Social Anxiety" and click on the second link - not the first one. Here's an email I received from him which...

I understand, somewhat, his confusion regarding your happiness. If you've always had that "switch" you would find it difficult to understand how anyone could be miserable. This happened to me some time after I began practicing mindfulness meditation. I'm not sure how I did it, but I eventually devel...

I sometimes wonder about, is the drastic increase in autism, from 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 80, nature's way of trying to slow human reproduction rates, and thus stop human overpopulation? Nobody denies that there are too many people on the planet, and that humans have so far defeated the usual mechanism...

I'm not sure why, but after I have completed a certain amount of work/tasks, my mind creates a barrier; I can't comprehend simple equations or sentences and I develop a headache. I become frustrated, because I know that I have more things to do during the day, but I'm too mentally exhausted. This is...

I know that this thread is old, but you're incorrect and couldn't be more so - at least in respect to myself. I listen to rap and hip hop. I love the dress code and style that hip hop entails. I actually find the "culture" of country somewhat detestable. The idea driving of tractors and wearing over...

Why would I consider the abatement of my intelligence to be a desirable prospect? I apologize if that reads as magniloquent, but I'm tired of people saying that I would "improve" (a rather vague assertion) if I could be cured of asperger's.

Hmm...I've never had a girlfriend. If you think about it, maybe that's why you're attracting abusive relationships. You find it hard to ascertain one in the first place, so you leach on to the first opportunity that presents itself. I, of course, can't speak for for you. Just speculating...

Excuse me if I am incorrect, but there is a troll-like quality about the statements: "We are in love", "We are not in a relationship", "He randomly becomes intense and does unpredictable things" and "I suspect he has AS so I expediently registered on the first Autism forum I could find in a google s...

I'm an NT in love with a very sweet, soft-natured guy who I strongly suspect has AS. Have any of you Aspie men experienced any weird/abnormal physical reactions in intense situations? On two occasions (both in a work environment) when I was alone with the guy and there was an intense moment, his re...

I actually had the exact same question a year ago (and still do to an extent, but at least I'm aware that having friends isn't the only way to fulfil that desire). Well... do you know that, apparently, that desire is fulfilled by the release of oxytocin, a hormone that makes us feel like we're conn...

Are they even real? Or are you just joking? I'm not sure I want to be constantly seeing a phantasmagorical person with a personality in front of me 100% of the time... Yes they are real and they should go away if you ignore them. It's like self-induced dissociative personality disorder except that ...

Well, if you're content living in a cardboard box, then sure, money is completely useless...lol

I don't think that money will make you happy in totality, but being successful will definitely assign confidence to your life.

Just make a tulpa. http://tulpa.info/guides/index.html Refrain from sexual intercourse with it though, or it will continuously rape you until you go insane. It sounds like BS but it's all real. Are they even real? Or are you just joking? I'm not sure I want to be constantly seeing a phantasmagorica...

Given that I've never had any friends, the idea that I will make any soon is extremely unlikely. But, just like every other mammalian social animal, the need for human companionship never goes away. I'm trapped in a void of loneliness that I just want to escape, one way or the other. Refrain from wo...

"Individual does not express imagination and therefore does not have imagination." This is one of the main issues, I think. The wrong questions are being asked. Studies focus on quantitative data and throw a survey or simple task at the subjects and don't record very meaningful results/responses. B...

I doubt they have technology capable of jumping inside a persons head and viewing their thoughts. It seems their logic is as follows; "Individual does not express imagination and therefore does not have imagination." I read many novels and as I have heard, so do other aspies. And people who lack ima...
