Talking for myself, as long as I remember I have written poetry, sometimes using metaphors and analogies that neurotypicals are incapable of understanding. |

Sounds to me like whoever this Queen is, she's maybe switching sides to try and come up with a solution to prevent Trump from rising to power again. Making a new alliance etc. Maybe it also means more women will vote together against electing Trump for a second term? I would advise to keep the expe... |

Did not get a promotion at work with stated reason, that I have too good of a heart and people on the floor are taking advantage of it. 1 very likely, two at most. But the way they where stating it, made it come across like a lot more. If they really think people working there are that bad, maybe th... |

Other misconception is that savants=genius. They can be. But about the autistic savant trope. While most autists are not savants, if I remember correctly half the known savants are autistic. Also the high levels of skill/knowledge our special interests might provide us in narrow area's might be seen... |

Funny enough if there was a better and more widespread understanding of this tradition, we might still see a new change in his appearance. But not to sooty pete's, but to a more non-human/ krampus-like figure. So is Sooty Pete mean't to be a chimney sweep? I do not really care about the PC-Pete. Th... |

It's highly unlikely the Dutch people will give up on this tradition. I am not sure "blackface" in Holland has the same negative cultural connotation as it did in the USA? Funny thing is that in Suriname and the Dutch Antilles they apply 'whiteface' on the guy playing Sinterklaas. And app... |

Like others here, I would certainly not consider it a casual drink as the purview of one (biological) sex almost exclusively . And more like a celebratory drink. |

Many of us are not good at social games because we are on the autistic spectrum. That is why I used the word their ;) Being judged as creepy, robot-like, or just plain weird because of autism seems to further taint our reputations as reliable and credible sources of information -- until those glori... |

I don't like it when they perceive it as something negative and take it as an excuse to stop taking what I have to say seriously. [color=black]I now have to wonder if all those times when I gave my 'expert' opinion as an engineer and nobody took me seriously (until it was too late) meant that they ... |

Not so much a stereotype, as an outdated viewpoint. That changed in to the viewpoint that we do not lack empathy. But that because of how our and their neurons are wired, there is an empathy-problem that goes both ways. |

Fascinating. Wasn't there a belief in the old days you would your death if you took a bath? Most likely the answer to that question is no. And that believe can probably be traced back to misconceptions that where formed during the Victorian era. https://youtu.be/z1m4LYn3mOg I imagine a Victorian no... |
