I think the overall premis is wrong. Darwin was speaking of long term and constant change, not a scheduling conflict or a new technology. I find that when myself and the other aspies I know are presented with a sudden change, like in plans, our reactions can be less than desired (freak out, shut dow...

Good suggestion, but one of my interests is gender roles in society and sexual deviance... so it's too hard for me to suspend my disbelief when watching porn, thus it does nothing for me (sad panda). I don't stop my husband from enjoying whatever he wants- it's just my personal feelings on it. In mo...

I just more fully realized how ridiculous it is that I gave "advice" on this topic... something about questions makes it so the less I know about something the more I want to try to answer it. Anyway yes well-wishes in any case. Haha! I'm very much the same way :) And the article was helpful- you d...

Thank you for moving the discussion :) And thanks to everyone for all your responses. It seems at this point after reflecting on things with a new filter, that we probably fall into the "chore" category ...even though we already are following the "healthy sex techniques" (only when we feel like it, ...

No, it's that once we start, we think if other things and get distracted. Once that happens we have to stop because we're not in the mood any more. It doesn't happen every time, but it does happen more often than not :(

I have no idea where to put this topic- so I'm hoping "general" discussion will be alright. Either way- please don't get mad and please help if you can. My husband and I both have Asperger's and we're trying to have a baby. The problem: half the time "it" doesn't work out. We're both preoccupied wit...

hey there, i'm new around here too. i know what you mean by "knowing" about aspergers, though i guess i don't have quite as many family members to draw experience from. i have a pretty good knowledge of how i am with it, as well as textbook symptoms and definitions, but i really want to be able to ...

It sounds like you've already gotten some really good feedback, but I wanted to add my two cents (because I can't help myself) I wondered if I should get one too. I was 29 when I finally got diagnosed. All I can say is that for me, it was worth it. You know how some people say marriage changes you, ...

Hello! New to the forum, so I wanted to get my toes wet here. I've been a confirmed Aspergian for 2 years now. My mother was the first to get diagnosed 4 years ago. Since then myself, my sibling and my husband have also been diagnosed. I highly suspect that my nephew (sister's son) and my father-in-...
