Psychology? It was my Major & I have my degree in it. My interest was both my own problems & a desire to actually do something. But really the only thing I did with it was relating to dolphins (which was BEYOND unbearably cool! :D ) In those days, there was no Asperger's, there was Schizoid ... |

From someone who has long been involved in Retail (yuck! & Irony!), when I worked at C-stores we had the rule about pennies. It didn't apply to other coinage though. Reason? It holds up the line & makes it easy for a customer to shortchange you. I even look the other way, unless someone brou... |

Yeah, as much as I prefer living in the country, the folk who live there just don't understand people who are different. Plus, its harder to get help.
You got some good advice up there. The thing to do is keep appealing & applying. Eventually they will cave. Hang in theere!

I've always have several rubber bands & a piece of string. Like the bands better, since NT people will also do it! The string, just old habit. LOL

Yeah, I do do this. It was really bad as a kid (though that was decades ago). It got better in college (besides they thought I was odd enough!) partly because I took up running, which seemed to help. Something with the endorphins I think. It used to be with string or cloth strips. These days its rub... |

Also, its hard to get disability even for those with very obvious illneses. Take it from a fellow Aspi who also has Crohn's disease, while I never applied for it, I have friends on HealingWell.com who have struggled for years trying to get this. You need a good doctor & a good attorney. And they... |

I have learned one thing in my 49 years on this weird planet.. There is NO PERFECT match. Not for me, not for anyone. If you are really lucky you find someone you click with. And they with you. The rest is work. No magic needed. Relationships involve work. Now I just have to find a female who realiz... |

Dianthus, That's partially true, probably. We males are kind of hard-wired to visual stimuli. Its neither right, nor wrong. Just Nature.. On that point, I do agree that getting to know someone online may be better. But don't forget how easy predators find the Net to be as well. Sometimes talking to ... |

Well, I don't think because I tried ON-line dating I'm some sort of creep or alien. Those opinions I got in the REAL world from people who DIDN'T even know me.. Though I once dated one of the prettiest girls in my area, when I was in college, so not always a total loss But Online is no cakewalk eith... |

Ahh, this thread was made just for me, another fossil!
Next month is 50 years. Half a century?
How'd I live this long?!
Seriously, between my Crohn's & the Asperger's I either should have died, or someone should have killed me.

Hello, My name is Matthew Scruggs ( unfortunately there seem to be several people with my name so I'm stuck using a "Handle" dated 1985 or so, in the pre-history of Cyberspace.). I'm almost 50 years of age. Usually, I'm off on HealingWell dealing with my other curse, Crohn's Disease but... For most ... |
