yeah, they love him NOW....next week, he'll be put back in the box.
None of them really give two jerks about him, he just was momentarily useful to them.
They will never see him as a real person, and never let him be an equal.

I was raised Roman Catholic until I was about 9, then my dad tried to teach us about Mormonism (I ran screaming from both). My stepmom was a very odd New-Ager with a focus on Tibetan teachings. About this time my real mom became a Dianic Wiccan, something she tried to teach me about, but at the time...

Forgive my intrusion, but the OP may be attempting to differentiate between "Magic" as per the "Sigfried and Roy" variety and the ancient practices of True Magick, such as Shamanism, Chaos Mages, and Wiccans. To answer the question, I did once learn a few parlor tricks, mostly involving cards during...

"This is a dog license with the word "Dog" crossed out, and the word "Cat" written in in crayon." "I got it from the man in the van." "What man?!" "The man in the Cat Detector Van." "The Loony Detector Van, you mean." "Mr. Notlob....there is nothing wrong with you that an expensive operation can't p...

I understand how you feel. I'm 12, trapped in a 28-year old body! But is it really such a terrible thing to run outside to chase butterflies in spring, or take joy in the way the sky looks the day after it rains? Look around you then, at the poor sad adults who can see only their own weary pain. The...

I have very few that I can see myself in, but the major one for many years has been Raistlin Majere, the greatest Archmage that ever lived on Krynn. Like him, I have a somewhat fragile constitution, a sharp wit, and tend to unnerve those around me. Like him, I will settle for nothing less than my du...

Hell, Dungeons and Dragons is older than wicca Now THAT"S funny! I'm not only a Tourney-sanctioned DM, I'm also a Junkyard Mage. I'm developing my own brand of magick, as everyone should. I use mostly Sigils, but I don't use the method set out by Crowley or Spare, as I find both of their metho...

I always HAD to watch "Nightmare before Christmas" at least 5 times a day at my gran's house, and as often as I could, I watched "The Last Unicorn", "Neverending Story" and of course, "Conan the Barbarian". I still love them all.

Try Shadow of the Colossus for PS2, God of War 1 and 2, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, and Mario Party 3 and 4 for N64. Hope the list helps. Shadow of Colossus is the most incredible game I have had the honor to play in a while, matched only in beauty by God of War 2.

I have always believed in Santa, in one form or another. When I was small, I believed in him as a literal being, when I got older, he existed as a pure spirit of joy and innocence. The thing that keeps me faithful after all these years is simple: all faith, especially that of a child, is extremely p...

I have broader shoulders than most women in my size range (petite), but aside from a mini- beard, I don't have that many other traits. I have almost never felt truly female, and if there was a simple and painless way to switch to male, I would have no regrets. I consider my physical self to be nothi...

I also have the Platinum Series collection, and I think it really starts to get good when it moves away from the battles. It's almost a horror, because you are never allowed to forget that these are still children , forced into horribly complex and frightening situations by adults, and used in the w...

They should simply re-air the original episodes, with a few updated effects. Roddenberry's work is solid, and there is no real reason to pee all over it with something crummy like this possible re-do. They did enough damage with the "Enterprise" series. While I was initially hopeful about that one, ...

I apologise if I seem rude to someone, but I don't see where I was. I was simply trying to point out that there are lots more resources out NOW that could have helped many of us THEN, and not to give up like I did before I found the site. It was not intentional to offend, just point out how and wher...
