I have anxiety, I first recognised it around 12 years ago, when it became a major problem. I still have anxiety, but CBT and some relaxation methods have reduced the severity somewhat and most importantly I can now recognise when I'm anxious.

| Ideally they want to get an opinion from someone who knew you as a child. This is just to meet the diagnostic criteria for lifelong impairment. They often will do a written or telephone interview, so perhaps that could be done with your estranged family, you don't have to be involved. I suspect this... |

| Rather than giving us behaviours, why don't you tell us a little about yourself and your life.. Are you working, in school, in a relationship, living at home? These points give us more information and are far more relevant to a continued adult diagnosis than your perceived social abilities. Jason. |

Comparing a siren with a sexual assault is not a great analogy.
Perhaps it's safer to compare it with stubbing your toe? Infrequent, but extremely painful.
