Like you, I've never been formally diagnosed. I'm currently in school for computer science and it seems that no one wants to hire me part time and work around my school schedule, so I am willing to put my schooling on hold in order to get a job (hopefully in a factory). I agree with the poster above...

I feel like this at times and I also still worry about my future and getting a job in my field once I graduate. I try to tell myself that there are lot of "weird" people in IT, but at the same time I can easily see differences between me and other "IT people" and I know others can see these things a...

I spent most of the day yesterday with my mom and she pointed this out to me. She said "You can write excellent papers and can spell better than anyone I know, yet you can't speak. Why is that?" And then today in my operating systems class, my teacher asked me what a driver was. I said "they are ins...

I can't find things anywhere. My mom always says "if it was a snake, it would bite you!"

But I can relate to the store thing. Just remember to take your time and relax and if that means stim in public... oh well.

There's no such things as disabilities man - we're aliens and they're coming to get us at the end of 2012 when Lucifer destroys Jerusalem and installs NWO in America and installs the National Guard in the streets due to hyperinflation and the collapse of the US Dollar and the Loonie all thanks to t...

I work in a convenience store as a cashier. Not something I enjoy but I've been doing this for 4 years now and I am fast on the register. When I was hired, they told me if I wanted to go back to school they would work around my school schedule. I got the impression that they were encouraging me to g...

Pads are irritating. They're like wearing a diaper.

I'd rather have 12 tags on the back of my shirt than wear a pad.

Yes, I just learned to solve a 3x3x3 puzzle cube and I keep forgetting the algorithms. Even if I just used them multiple times. Another issue, which I think is in some way related, is that I can listen to a song on repeat for hours and then as soon as the song stops I will forget the lyrics. Makes m...

My place of employment isn't scheduling me to work. Instead they are calling me in the day of that they would like me to work. This causes me a lot of anxiety.

Do you think I should say something, or is this something I just have to deal with until I can find a different job?

I think some people can tell when you're looking at their mouth.

I was in the ER once for appendicitis and a social worker was talking to me. Her eyes moved quickly down to my mouth and then she smiled...as if she was curious as to whether I would notice the same thing.

I'm always smiling, and for me... I'm usually trying to hide the fact that I'm completely clueless of what is going on.

I can't relate. Glasses really mess with my depth perception. I've worn them since I was around 5 years old, but then when I was around 10 I got contacts. I've been unable to tolerate glasses ever since.

I was an aide for kindergartners who had labels like Asperger and PDD-NOS.

Easiest job, but at the same time it was extremely stressful. Other adults and teachers were the problem. It's hard when you understand these kids and others don't.
