Wow, really surprised by these answers. It seems there are a lot of city lovers on these forums. I actually prefer the slow paced, more laid back life of the rural and suburban areas. City life is too stressful, all the noise, large crowds, and too fast paced. It is too much of a sensory overload, ...

My biggest pet peeve of all: Someone who can't put their phone away for half an hour without getting the shakes or compulsive urges to constantly check it, even during a date. I had a test for this that I would use on a first date. I would leave my phone turned on and on the table, and either have s...

I am equal opportunity. On a scale of 1 to 10, everybody starts at -37. They work their way up or down from there.

I have a rather bizarre career path for an Aspie, but I grew up around the automotive service industry. I started off working in dealerships, first as a driver (lots of alone time but you still have to interact with customers) and then ended up working parts counter. I didn't care for dealing with ...

The biggest thing to remember: customer service is nothing more than a predetermined, contrived song and dance. 99.999% of the people you deal with will not only not care about any quirks you may have, most wouldn't even be able to pick you out of a lineup fifteen seconds after they walk out the doo...

For some reason I just started thinking about why I used to do this as a kid. Until now, I never thought anything of it. What I would do was lie down then extend either one or both arms straight up in the air, wrists limp. I would fall asleep that way sometimes, even to the point of waking up hours ...

I have tried sleeping pills twice in my life. First time was an Ambien given while I was in the hospital. Hatred how groggy I was for hours after waking up. Second time, two years later, doctor said to try Sominex. That was a night from hell. it reacted badly with my blood pressure medication... My ...

Incorrect. As long as a discriminatory reason is not given, you can be let go in most States for anything they can think of... and you will have zero recourse.

My primary wardrobe consists of a couple of gray zippered hoodies, 4-5 pairs of jeans and about 83 black t-shirts, most all plain. I wear clean clothes every day as I work in a very dust and dirt-filled environment. Recently, my wardrobe did receive a major expansion. I bought a couple of earthy-col...

Have you seen the film? This is a fan-made video, so if you haven't seen the film, the context is probably missing. Two 'oddball' loners find one another, grow up and get married. The wife has always dreamed of adventure, and they are saving their change so she can go the one place she's always dre...

I had my diagnostic appointment today as well. Along with the other paperwork and tests they had me fill out ahead of time, I brought a copy of my journal as it explains in a lot of detail some of the same questions they were going to ask me. At first, one of the doctors said, "I think I got everyth...

It sounds like you live in a country like the United States, in which the first option is to have an assessment paid for by the insurance company. But, it is usually not covered for adults--though I have heard of cases in which adults will be diagnosed along with a child who is getting an assessmen...
