Most 'professional' porn is stupid, very unrealistic and is meant for men with porn addictions. The female performers consent to everything in advance so I don't find it degrading to them. I feel that the sex act itself is degraded by the fact that it is totally fake. Personally, I prefer amateur po...

I have two takes on this. First, my wife is a nurse. When she was in school, she attended a newborn circumcision and said the baby screamed his brains out the entire procedure. She wanted to punch the doctor and felt traumatized afterwards. Second, i was circumcised as a newborn. My wound was not pr...

As a tester, try to get into test automation or test engineering. Write scripts to make testing faster and more efficient. Get recognized as coder and work your way up, Develop strong SQL skills as these are relatively rare even in IT as most people can't think in sets very well.

I'm very proud of mine as I had to work my way up from the bottom, self studied, and was recognized as a top performer. Today, I'm a data engineer for a big insurance company and make enough money to support a stay at home wife and two kids. My 1099 consulting rate would be at least $80/hour should ...

Try applied computer science or information Science. I'm a DBA and make as much or more than most programmers. You don't need strong math skills in a lot of IT jobs.

I'm surprised this book is so popular. It is quite technical most of the time. The main character seems pretty aspie too. You'd think it would only be popular among folks like us. I read it and enjoyed it a lot. It covers chemistry, biology, and orbital dynamics. The main character is profane like m...

I was on a team in which I excluded from a new major project despite being a key player on an earlier similar project. I saw the writing on the wall and found another role shortly afterwards. The team seemed surprised that I left, thinking I didn't have the guts to move. The move was a little scary ...

Today I finished my first week as a DBA and it went well. I get along great with my mentor and did some real DBA work with excellent results. This team is much more technical than the previous one and I think I'll do fine here.

I'm 39 with a wife of six years and two little girls. I'm about five o ten years behind most NTs in terms of personal and career development but not that far off the wagon that I can't hold a conversation about family or career. I often regret the choices that pushed me back but am thankful I turned...

I haven't started officially yet as I need to transition my current work. I'll admit being both scared and excited. Scared since I'll be the new guy who needs to learn a lot instead of the being the expert in my particular area. Excited because this position will be a gateway to much better experien...

I work for State Farm and made a lateral move to a DB2 DBA position. It could be a significant promotion as DBAs make more money than people in my old position. I've had problems with getting jobs/new positions before and this is the best one yet! Hopefully my strong technical skills will be more re...
