I'm just an immortalist really... just curious about the other movements and what they accomplished and what happened to them.

I was just wondering what the truthers discovered or what the information they handed out was. Let's chat.

I got it! The Atheist Holiday should be about supporting Ron Paul! DING Your posts on this thread are as relevant as UN peacekeepers. It is to the point of trolling, but I want actual trolling, not some 9/11 Truther trolling where you don't have the logical/brain capacity to come up with something ...

Yeah I definitely agree... Though with all the people coming back from Iraq and Afganistan I have to wonder why the military still needs to recruit people... Are we really going to fund another war we can't afford? Are we just going to push the federal reserve so far off the deep end that our money ...

What I'm saying though is that Jung was saying more than some people recognize him as saying. He was saying that religion created the collective unconscious which was a universal understanding of what religion does to people. I think you have that backwards. From my reading of Jung I see him as say...

What if instead they didn't have a holiday, but a holi night? Going from dusk to dawn. YEAH! Stick it to 'em atheists! Religions do have something like that, though... Jewish holidays always start at dusk. And I know of at least one Buddhist holiday that ends at dawn. Why do we need to have a set s...

I wouldn't ban or outlaw religion, but I'd separate it from public schools and politics. Religion is a lot of like alcohol to me. I don't like it, but I don't have a problem with it. Just don't go pouring it down my throat. I am definitely going to have to write a cheap book detailing the ills of r...

You have to forget all that you think you know about religion. Perhaps when I have time I will post a thread and teach it to WP.

Can someone explain to me how creation evolved? That is a good question. We could postulate for decades about how human beings developed the idea that the world was created by some guy, but it would be very speculative. The only postulation that I could arrive at would be that it's more memory effi...

Sorry Luke, but you're god doesn't exist. Wake up! He is just a conspiracy that is being used against you and you are propagating the same conspiracy unto others. For as long as you do this, the conspiracy will continue. Because others will do to you as you are doing to them. What you really must do...

Now for my more serious beliefs....humanity is an experiment Know thyself. A mantra the governments learned that was wise to consider. The governments of the world aren't the ones doing the experimenting...they aren't the ones that have been playing with genetics since the beginning of time on this...

^ quite so, also let's not forget the obscene amount of capital in the vaticans possession. @ webcam I would reply but I am unable to decipher what the heck it is that you are trying to say!! You have to assume that the believers don't actually believe. You can't accept that they put any kind of fa...

I was under the impression that Jesus was god. That he came to Earth to save us all. So the idea that god sacrificed his son is perplexing. I think it is just poetic sounding and the church authorities use it to confound the population in order to keep them feeling dumb and easy to control. More to...

I'm getting a little tired of all the blasphemy. Religionists of the world rejoice, you are all the SAME. Someone points to a valid flaw in one of your stories and rather than address the flaw or explain why they still believe it, you shout blasphemer. Thankfully in the West folk got sick and tired...

America was founded on Christianity therefor Gay Marriage should be illegal in America. The founding fathers were deists, not Christians. A deist believes in a God, but not in religion. That's not entirely true. While many of their personal beliefs differed from actual church teachings, almost all ...

Physical abuse is one thing. Taking the kids to church is another.

Physical abuse... Existential abuse... two sides of the same coin.
