Well, my job is my dream job. (design/ programming as a freelancer) I just would like to have somebody who does the communication with the clients. That part takes 90% of my capacity. :( I had the same problem when I freelanced. It burned me out, and it is a large part of the reason why I don't hav...

Only a handful? I heard it was more than that.

I met someone once who said they didn't like music. Period. No music at all of any genre! They said they absolutely hated all music. This was in the 1980s but I've never stopped thinking about it. I can't even imagine that. I thought it was rather natural for people to respond to at least SOME musi...

Several months ago, I started rubbing a few drops of essential oils underneath my arms as deodorant.

I don't know about your other examples but this example with the percentages suggest that maybe this isn't always your fault. Sometimes people make mistakes that are so basic, it's difficult to explain what the mistake is. It's like trying to explain why 1+1=2. If you understand intuitively why 1+1=...

Maybe you looked lost and/or vulnerable to her. If you look/act young for your age or you were lost in thought, she might have gotten that impression.

My question is two-fold. Is it worth pursuing a diagnosis? I am fairly comfortable that I fit in the autistic community, so do I need a label to confirm this? What benefit will this have on my life? And secondly, will anyone take me seriously. I can't take it if my GP turns round and says - no, you...

I haven't been able to find any useful information about autistic adults dealing with chronic insomnia. So has anyone here dealt with this, and how do you manage it? I want parents of autistic kids to answer as well. My problem is that I cannot fall asleep before 2 AM or so no matter how sleepy I am...

I live in California and will not be participating in this. It seems suspicious, some kind of autist tracking program, and the probability of employment seems low. I've looked at some of the available jobs and they seem to be quite niche.

No, I do not like to shave. It takes too much time, effort, and money. plus buying all those plastic shavers is wasteful and creates unnecessary trash. I don't shave. I use my hair clippers, which do not cut as close as razors and therefore almost never cut me. I don't much like that either, but it'...

Please fill out this questionnaire if YOU ARE FEMALE/IDENTIFY AS FEMALE to the best of your ability You are basically inviting males to respond to your questionnaire, so your results may not totally pertain to autistic girls. Is the research supposed to be about females or isn't it. 'Female' is not...
