I've been thinking about that lately (What is autism?) because of some recent interactions with so-labeled psychologists (well, ok, the one over-generalizing egotistical ass I've had the opportunity to see  ). Seeing as no-one that I know of uses their entire brain, and cannot engage it (as a ...

I have to look. If I use the same keyboard all the time I can remember the keys better, because I know their juxtapositions but I still mess up and have to look, especially when I make an error, so I usually don't bother try to type without looking. I can't keep my fingers/hands in position with tho...

That hurts. I've been told that kind of thing many times, and that's exactly how I felt, (accused of being a fraud). Can I just say that I think you're pretty damn cool? When I come accross your posts, you seem like a very considerate, kind and helpful person, among a lot of other good qualities. :D

I doubt half of you have half the disorders you claim to have or have been diagnosed with. I know AS i comorbid, but I think many of you have aquired the habit of explaining every bad aspect of your life with a disorder of some kind, to avoid having to actually deal with your issues. In these of gr...

Geez. This thread got firery quick! I'd like to mention how some posters will generalize thier butts off, and then turn around and tell others its never a good idea. Its a little confusing to me, not that I'm perfect either, or anything close. Just didn't expect to be slammed into a thread where my ...

Gah. I'm like that too. And my brother too, actually he's much more so this way than me I think. I find it frustrating when people at work used to (I'm not working now) think I was angry with them just because I was working quietly. The thing is I sometimes was angry at them, for their messy etc. wa...

I do this all the time. The remembering, the re-embarrassment. I blame it on being disadvantaged/ punished/looked down on for being myself, because its made me feel like there's no more room to screw up to add to my being.....whatever negative crap people pinned on me. And still do. Really like, it ...

On the lighter side how Christmas aggrievates me: - my mother's mashed vegetables (gag); - trying to clean/put away special her dishes without smashing them to bits; - the stores are usually so busy by the time I finish shopping they make me want to implode; - wrapping everyone else's gifts to every...

diseased, I'm talking more on attitudes than the wars themselves because I have more experience/knowledge there... I think the "war" in Iraq is a farce. Rumsfled couldn't plan a military operation to save his freakin' life. I hold them personally responsible and I feel their "motivations" for initia...

but you don't have to be against the soldiers if you are againstthe war. Yes, while I realize that, many do not and act extremely offensively in my experience (its very 'conservative' in my area) when I do so much as say I dislike something about a conflict or something having to do with it. I mean...

Is this thread active again? *sigh* Geez, I wrote a post before and saved it in case i felt like posting it later (when no one else was posting here), but know I don't think I should post it. Its impossible to mentally 'support' troops of any kind (your own or another country's) without supporting the conflict. Oh, and to add to that, if you're a citizen of a country that is involved in a conflict, its usually also impossible in other ways to not support it if you pay any kind of taxes o...
