Darn double meanings! I miss (as in wish I still was) going to college, where I was known to occasionally miss (not attend) a class or two. Or three, or five. I wound up taking 10 years to get a bachelors degree partly because of having to drop classes that were hard to get to or were just bad clas...

Well, for one I don't think education should cost nearly as much as it does or anything at all, but that's another story. Two, I'm being forced to take classes that don't even count towards my major because that's all that was left after signup. If I were taking major classes like last year, I would...

I have performance anxiety, so it's even more difficult to do mine. After years of avoiding them, about two weeks ago I put my foot down and said enough. I decided to try just a little bit of liquid courage to take the nerves off. According to research that I did, plenty of famous people do it. I ma...

So, all of my classes are in the morning and I have to walk thirty minutes to class, which requires waking up super early. I usually go to my first class on monday, because it's an important class. After that class there's an hour break until the next one, and then there's a two hour break after tha...

Well, I think being afraid of the dark is a rational fear that all humans have. Since we have evolved darkness has always meant danger. It is when predators come out and hunt for food. It is cold. Anything could happen. Now that we have electricity and heat we don't worry about it as much, but if yo...

That is the root of the problem. Commmunism is like sharing a bank account with the community. They call it tradegy of the commons. Everyone wants to take out no one wants to put in. I don't think it's exactly like sharing a bank account with the entire community, because there is no money aspect. ...

It's not a murdering ideology. No country in the world has every practiced true communism. True communism calls for equality of all. There are no "dictators" under communism, because there are no "governments." Saying "communist government" is like an oxymoron. They're complete opposites. And really...

Discuss? I began as a democrat and moved further left to a Democratic Socialist. I am now a communist. I enjoy researching Marx's theories and discussing them on a leftist blog that I found a few months ago. I am currently in the process of starting a leftist club at my university. So, that's where ...

Sorry for the late responses. Well, it says on his website that he specializes in learning disabilities and neuropsychological disorders, but I'm not convinced. The only reason that I originally came to know about the disorder, is because one of my previous psychologists thought that I may have it w...

I've been seeing a doctor recently for depression, anxiety, and to see if I have aspergers. Ever since our first meeting, my doctor has decided that I don't have aspergers because I "make eye contact too well." When I insist that I think I have it based on how I've felt my entire life, he says "Well...

Then maybe the manager should consider being a team player and covering the shift instead of thinking that he or she doesn't have to do anything just because they have a white collar on their shirt. That's one thing that really upsets me, and I saw this a lot from the managers at the store that I wo...

No, I was working 40 hours every week. It got so bad yesterday that I just walked out and quit. I was supposed to work 1-9, and the manager asked since someone called in if I would be willing to cover their shift (work all the way until midnight). I said I would, since I needed the hours. But I've b...

I live in the US. I was surprised too because I looked up the labor laws on the Department of Labor's website and found out that an employer doesn't even have to give you a break. I used to have a job that gave me an hour break for working 7-8 hours and a thirty minute break for working 5-6 hours. T...

I've been working at a candy store for about a month and a half now, and I absolutely despise it. It caused me to have a mental breakdown 2 days ago. Basically, I just finished up my first year in college, and I ended up failing one class so now I have to work full time, and possibly take a summer c...

Yes, I was thinking that I should just chalk this up and try to have it as a friendship. It's just so hard, because I'm really picky about guys that interest me, and when you find one that you like and that makes you feel happy it's hard to let go of the idea of it :(
