Well things haven't been too good at work, due to total inefficiency and useless communication. I email my boss who says complain (knowing as I do that others feel the same). So... I complain. Turns out it has created a whole heap of trouble and all the people that encouraged me to complain and said...

Sales would terrify me. All that interaction with other people, I would be a nervous wreck! I need a quiet environment with little outside noise or disturbance, even a traditional office scares me. I am lucky, I have spent years working up to it but now I work from home, full time in a job that I lo...

I work from home. I am in the UK and I use my skills as an ex-nurse (and later university qualifications) to work as a distance learning tutor. I love my job, I tutor a variety of different courses and it's usually fun to do and I make a decent living wage. Tutoring online is something that is becom...

I have been doing this a long time and now have my "own" course that I am responsible for. Now, the company that I contract out to has decided that all meetings will be done by phone con...

I agree with Rocket and the universeman. I found out a couple of years ago and, although initially it was a relief it is no longer so. In the long run it has brought me so much stress, I realise a lot of things that I wish I hadn't realised (even though some of them are interesting such as why I am ...

Here is a tutorial on how to make your own. At least if it doesnt suit you, you haven't wasted loads of money.

Barnabear, that is an amazing post. Gives me some hope and motivation to do something! Thanks again everyone. I guess we DO need to exert ourselves to get ourselves understood - otherwise we are guilty in a way for letting these kinds of situations perpetuate themselves. My sitting by and doing noth...

Ahh thank you everyone! I wish aspies ruled the world, at least there would be honesty instead of connivance. I apologised only because I thought these people had been my friends and colleagues for five years and I had suddenly been told that they were nervous of me. The last thing I want to do is u...

I have been contracting out my services to a company for the past five years now. But last year, they got a new boss and she has been consistently unkind to me. SHe knows I have Asperger's and she has accused me of all sorts of things, such as saying that the people in the office are nervous of me. ...

It is a general research module for several different strands of science. They gave us a topic and we have to research it and come up wiht a proposal. BUT, we have to document and reflect on our "journey" and our skills and this is what stumps me. Unfortunately most of the marks are for this, so the...

I'm doing a chemistry MSc and one module that I am having to undertake (endure/tolerate) involves heavy use of reflective journals, skills audits and giving evidence about such things as "why I chose these papers", "how I feel about this, that and the other" etc. Is it because I am an Aspie or is it...
