I have an extreme phobia of the dark, and must sleep with a light. Is this common in ASD?

Who else here is very indecisive? I am never good at making decisions, always found it very hard to make my mind up on things. When it comes to where to go for lunch, what to have for dinner, or what brand of canned tomato I want. It usually takes me an hour to go shopping for groceries for the week...

Just curious, who else doesn't have hypersensitivity? So I know a large portion of Aspies have hypersensitivity to sound, light, touch, or smell, but not all. I have Aspergers, but I don't have any hypersensitivity to sound, light, touch, or smell. I can read in a crowded area full of sound just fin...

This happen long before I was hired here, and was told this by a coworker. We were discussing special accommodations for people with disability at work. But many years before I was hired, they hired some woman, who never once bothered to mention that she would need special accommodations. It wasn't ...

I don't know about yours, but the place I go to get my eyes check requires you make an appoint, in fact they must be made weeks in advance. If you don't have an appointment, you won't be seeing anyone.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I have always felt that if a person gets any accommodations for their classes, then these accommodation should be noted on their transcript, so potential graduate/college admissions and employer folk will know what context to take any grades they get. People ...

I already graduated, but I was diagnosed freshman year in college and didn't really tell my school, I didn't get any accommodation. Extra time on test would have helped, so would extra time to turn in assignments. I was very lazy in college and always procrastinated my HW, extra time would have help...

You know when I graduated, I was so scared to ask my professor for a letter, but when I did they were more than willing to do it. They even remembered who I was, and remembered that I did well in their class. They knew my name and everything. Just make sure you did well in the class you are asking a...

No I don't, in fact I am just opposite. When I am focused on something like reading, on work, or a test, my brain seems to block out outside stimulation like noises. It is very annoying too, since when I read or do work, people walk up to me and start talking and I don't realize it.
