My ears hurts after a long day. It rattles me -- I need to find a quiet place, even though I'm something of a musician! Yes -- I am sensitive to sound, especially when multiple people are talking at once. I'm not some quiet sensitive type who runs out of a shopping mall because it's too loud -- I we...

HI, I will soon be of the age thirty this month, April. Seeing as I have been recently diagnosed with AS, I have been reading more about it, from library books to online resources, such as this website, etc -- I am curious to know *if* a long-undiagnosed AS could have something to do with some of my...

I do not say hi to those I know -- the "hi" part has already been established, so why say "hi" repeatedly? Also -- I try to be nice. Not mean. Hi doesn't really seem like much, especially if you have something important to say right away, OK? : ))

If I owned a gun, I'd probably end up hurting myself or others. I am not schizophrenic, depressed or bi polar, but I am rather impulsive due to ADHD.

I find it's a good idea to come out as an Aspie in cases of social conflict. I am not suggesting you blame your Asperger's on your bad behavior, but it helps when demystifying some of your more annoying traits. I would say that most people would feel relief to find out you weren't being an a**hole, ...

Why is being a hooker frowned upon? Or why is getting in the adult/sex industry not respected? I think it takes guts and courage to sleep with some fugly people. I look at a hookers with high esteem. They probably have the highest confidence! They'se smart for mixing pleasure with business ;)

As for me, I used to show aggression by yelling or via body language but not violence. However, nowadays I internalize the "reaction" and as a result, the "meltdown" manifests itself is either sleeping (tuning out) or less frequently - crying/being sad. Though, I don't cry often. Mostly keep it to m...

I read this forum (on my phone if I'm not at home). It's very reassuring that other people have the same feelings and/or problems that I do. I do the same thing with my iphone. Usually I get back to my sanctuary, where it's isolated from most sounds and where it's cool (temperature wise). It's also...

Between kindergarten and grade 8, I would obsessively draw pictures of aliens: thin, big eyed, grey, tall beings. I wouldn't focus on what was being "taught". I was in my own world - surprised I never been diagnosed as Aspergers! However, I would also draw myself being surrounded by these aliens, ex...

Thought it'd be a bit higher. You are 13% neurotypical!   You aren't neurotypical at all. Sure, it may mean others think of your social skills as "very poor", but that's doesn't mean you aren't good at anything, you probably have a skill other than socializing, which is probably not something you en...
