Yes. I can not stand the "proud to be autistic" trend, as others mentioned. Don't hate them or anything, just don't agree... and truly think most of them don't have a diagnosis. But hey, if you think it's cool to be depressed/autistic/whatever other disability... well, more power to you. Myself, I'd...

Most adult aspies just want to be who we are and don't want a "cure", but many parents with autistic or aspergic kids want their kids to stop having meltdowns, be able to socialize, and just generally be "normal". I don't know where this "most" comes from. Myself, I'd take a cure any day of the wee...

preaching is bad in any way or form. I generally don't care what people do, but I hate being the subject of preaching. As long as people keep their beliefs in whatever to themselves, I don't care. For example, in MY experience: Marijuana is cool, never been bothered about it. Vegans... oh my... thos...

I'm Brazilian, but I find the idea of "autistic sleep over" weird as ****.

Guess we're our own worst enemies in this account of organizing gatherings.

I think I might have Autism, but I'm worried about some things I don't see much discussion about. It makes me worried that maybe I don't have it after all... I'm so excited at the prospect of finally having an explanation for why the hell I do things I do, but I want to make sure I have proper caus...

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Why do some find the term "Neuroypical" offensive?

Because of shallow people who insist on trying to be cool and elite, so they think having a neurological disorder is better than being mainstream and use the term in a negative way.

It's not the term per se, but how some shallow people use it.

My opinion at least.

Do it if you can afford it, that's what I believe.

I like the idea of a trained professional evaluating me.

Who knows, you might learn something new about yourself.

I truly wish you well, good luck.

I just started Skyrim! I do love a big, one-player RPG! I can grab the strategy guide for $10... I hope that doesn't ruin the fun though. Skyrim is awesome. One of the best experiences I've had. Playing torchlight 2 on PC atm. Fun game, I'm enjoying it more than diablo3. Torchlight 1 was light and ...

It's here to stay. It's easy to say, ASpie. Easy to spell. Could we move on, please? No one disputed that. Despite being here to stay, people can voice their opinions. And no, I won't ever accept being called aspie. It's not going to stay in my limited social circle. I have nothing against other pe...
