I don't see why I should have to compromise and force myself to be social more than I am at family occasions like dinner. Sitting there doing nothing is pointless and it gets worse when I have to listen to things I despise. Do they come up to take a share in my interest? No. Then I can't be requeste...

Thanks a great deal for the responses. @momsparky I do housework and pay rent. I also pay for things I use. I've tried for years to communicate, and I've done so explicitly.
