Windbreaker material. I can't stand it. That and sheets, umbrellas, loose clothing, coat linings, and those 3d sports cups. The most dreadful sensory obstacle is washing my hands. After I wash my hands, everything I touch gives me goosebumps, especially paper, my laptop mouse, clothing, and the dryi...

When I set a goal, I am determined to reach the goal regardless of the self expense (in this case, paying for college...I need a cosigner for loans.) I may ask people for help, but I do not expect help. I would never want someone to help me if they didn't have the resources or feel comfortable about...

Well, a trip like that isn't the best way to try out making yourself do things that are uncomfortable for you. That's just too long and you won't be able to do it. I hate unexpected things too, but I've learned to deal with them pretty well but if I have a lot of them without a few days break in be...

I didn't sign up to go on my school's senior trip because I didn't have any friends at the beginning of this year (when sign up was). There are a few spots open and my new friends want me to buy a ticket. My Uncle offered to drive a check to my house for the full amount (620 dollars!) and told my fr...

I will begin college this fall and am not looking forward to rooming with someone. I value my privacy above all else and I won't have that in a dorm setting. The only solution that I see to this problem is to buy room dividers and put them up at the half way mark of the room. I don't want to seem ru...

If someone says something mean, I automatically assume they are being sarcastic...It is only later that I realize they weren't joking. It makes me feel foolish because I didn't realize that they meant it.

I think everyone, aspies especially, question their mental standing. Are we simply making excuses to make our behavior more acceptable? Why would we separate ourselves from others? I ask myself countless questions in regard to this subject. I haven't been diagnosed by a doctor which causes me to que...

I have typed this so many times and either the internet cuts out, I purposefully start over, or I accidentally press the back button on my keyboard. This might have posted already, I don't actually know. Here it goes again then... Hello, my name is Mikaela. My favorite things are coffee, Harry Potte...
