I have to go out once a week to a very populated place. Good ole Walmart. It's where our grocery shopping gets done. The thing that saves me is 1-dress comfortably, no matter what stupid looks you get. And by that, no, I do not wear PJs. I wear long clothing that covers me well is all. 2-mp3 player....

It's weird. I had to grow up fast, so while I matured fast mentally; now that I'm 39, I feel so much younger. Luckily having aNother medical condition keeps me out of the sun, so I'm told I look closer to my kids ages than my husband's. So it doesn't seem so bad.:) My son whom also has AS is 17 thou...

Your Aspie score: 154 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 83 of 200

Not sure what the neurotypical means, but doesn't seem too high?
Or is that me wishful thinking?

I have a family of four, and I figure I can't spend more than 30 at the very top a week.
Two teens, and they have their own things they do, and once it gets dark and everyone needs to turn the lights on I run upstairs to my room. I'm very lucky and don't work.

I'm very sensitive when it comes to auditory. Anything other than music bugs me pretty much. Heck, my son's voice deepened last year, and it drives me buggy! Course, can't very well tell him that, so it just grates usually. But I hate any little sounds. Oh the peace and quiet when everyone's out of ...

Thank you SO much for that! I just spoke to a woman there that's sending over via email, their list of docs that they have. And she also gave me a Lynn Delamer of Mental Health of America in my area. If I should EVER find one that's good and that works, I'll be sure to put it here. Thanks again!:)

I'm desperately looking for someone in my area for my son. He's seen occupational therapists (said he was ALL better!), and a few different psychiatrists. I'm thinking of a new one (his doesn't seem to care too much), and a psychologist now too. I live in Spotsylvania, and so far the closest I've se...

Hi! I'll give you what's an honest opinion from myself. First off, no, you aren't ever 'wrong' in hating another. I know a lot of religious people out there will tell you it's not 'right' to hate. Yeah, well it's also not right to abuse another. Especially a child or teen. You have a right to how yo...
