I thought I'd collect everyone's results and give a summary of the trends I found. I looked through 103 different entries (only included one entry for each person) and 104 counting my results, which are as follows: Paranoid - High Schizoid - High Schizotypal - Moderate Antisocial - Moderate Borderli...

In my case, I think people look at me strangely because I avoid eye contact and only give people quick glances. This probably makes people wonder why I don't look at them longer. They often look suspicious of me, like they think my lack of eye contact is a sign I'm up to no good. They give me sidelo...

f**k Asperger's. Hate is an understatement. I might as well be dead. I hate being the only one in my family with the s**t. All my 12 cousins are normal, even one or two of them who might have traits of ASD still seem to have more friends than me. Nobody seems to want to be my friend. Maybe it isn't...

The trouble is, we don't all have the same advantages which enable us to succeed. For example, the vast majority of people don't have autism (or at least most aren't on the high end of the spectrum) and this gives neurotypicals advantages such as better social interactions and rapport with potential...

I can't really give my opinion with so little information to go off of. What were your other diagnoses, at ages four and fifteen? I assume that there were good reasons that you were tested twice during childhood/adolescence, which implies that you've been struggling all your life with disruptive sy...

Thank you for the replies. I think that it's a case of everyone being somewhere on the autism spectrum and I am probably just on the borderline, around the cutoff point where one is only just classed as autistic.

I am very uncertain if I actually have autism or not. I was tested when I was 4. They said I didn't have it. I was tested again when I was 15. They said I didn't have it. Finally, for the 3rd time, I was tested at age 22 and was given the diagnosis of high functioning autism. I have always been the ...

No of course not. I know there is so much pain but I found that 16-31 are the worse years. After that it got a lot easier (a lot). So I would just hang on, things can get a lot better. You know there's nothing invalid about your reality when compared to other people. Mindfulness practice is incredi...

I have a great deal of trouble following tv show/movie plots involving multiple characters and storylines. I also find that I forget what I have watched after a short while, whereas my mum (who has no autism) remembers movies/shows better than I do, even if it is a show/movie I am more interested in...

I have tried to find statistics of what percentage of people with High Functioning/Asperger's are in employment but the percentages vary between studies. I thought it would be a good idea to do a poll here to see what the situation is among Wrong Planet members.

Hi Vicky, It sounds like you are doing the right thing. It's best to get tested because then you will know what the problem is and you can get some support for it. I was just diagnosed with High Functioning Autism last week after 22 years of not knowing for sure what was wrong with me. Before the di...
