My problem with it is that they're not the autistic one! I mean, if an autistic has a problem with it, then fine. But why do they need to PCize a term that isn't even used for them (NTs)

I've gotten used to it, but there's always AT LEAST one song going in my head. Sometimes more than one.

The problem I see about evaluations by a doctors opinion, is that children all have good an bad days. A kid who IS autistic could have a day when his behaviors are less apparent, and a kid who isn't autistic could be having a really bad day.

I've always been more or less fine with contact... Like I'd rather sit on the floor than have to be bumping knees all night because the couch is crowded, and I'd rather not share a bed, but other than that I'm usually ok. But recently I just don't want to be touched. At all. I've never liked being t...

I'm vulnerable in some ways - for example, if someone says "I'll love you forever if..." gets me because I've already lost enough friends.

And I'm literally watching them heal like I look at them every two hours or so and call me crazy but they look better every time.

This is a learning experience. I should not take my pencil sharpener apart then play with the blade.

But I wasn't doing it for self harm. I was fiddling with a razor and I didn't THINK it was that sharp (it was.) So now I have little nicks on my hand.

How do I keep my parents from finding out until they heal?

Yeah. I didn't realize how many routines I had until I lost my phone, which I use to listen to music ever night. It also caused me a lot of anxiety when a constant fixture in my week was skipped. And if I spontaneously decide to sleep over at a friends, I spend a good amount of time thinking about t...

I remember sobbing my heart out because I got a C on a math test... In 3rd grade. And then sobbing my heart out again because of a C I got on a paper (the teacher lets us re-write them, though.) Writing is just not my forte.

Me too. I make lists for everything. I take great comfort in lists in fact. My bosses at work make to-do lists for the employees at the beginning of our shifts and I love that. Everything spelled out and concise. The weird thing with me though is that other people can't make lists for me. I have to...

I do. They have everything spelled out for you, right there. Maybe that's why I enjoy reading the DSM. It's straight-forward (well, reasonably so) and organized (once again, reasonably so.)
