When I was a college freshman, I pulled something like the OP, but in a writing class. It was my first college course, so I figured if I was ever going to make a conscious effort to change how I interacted with people, that would be a good time to start. I did my very best impression of extroversion...

Not in the slightest. Even if I didn't feel the same way, I would think it was really sweet. :-)

I was a hostess at an Italian restaurant when I was 16. It was kind of terrible. I'd spend night after night getting accused of being rude and unfriendly, which only helped to make me rude and unfriendly. :-)

I've been told that a good deal of my PMs are being sent twice. My sent box shows two messages, sent about a minute apart, for messages that I only submitted once.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how was it resolved?

Thanks!

Mostly typical American; ever so slightly southern (I say "y'all" occasionally, but otherwise sound like a northerner for the most part.)

I do get mistaken for Canadian sometimes, though it happened more often when I was younger.

I don't drink very often, but I'm not really a lightweight. The last time I really went at it, vodka was the drink of choice: 2 shots relaxed me 4 shots made me talkative 6 shots made the people I was with ask why I wasn't drunk. lol For the record, I was pretty darn drunk. I just don't seem to show...

There are still things I want to learn about and places I want to see.

Also, I wouldn't want to leave a mess for anyone (emotionally or physically...).

I make funny remarks all the time (sometime unintentionally...) and people laugh, but I'm not so good with telling scripted jokes.

High school was much better than elementary or middle school for me. THe larger number of kids meant more variety and less ridicule. College was better still, as no one cared if I didn't talk to anyone else. :-)

I don't see why not. I certainly wouldn't dismiss the idea without getting to know the person first.
