[Edit] Well based on the comments I guess that I am not getting the point across that I wanted to, as well as people jumping to conclusions :? As to whether or not I will revise or re-post, I don't know, its late and I'm exhausted from work, its funny because it was this incident which led to me dis...

My doctor's opinion was that my autism is the mildest of the mild, and yet... - While I do have some ability to socialize, neither do I fear social situations, and in fact wish that I could be more social, it is exhausting for me to do so - I have zero friends - I am fortunate enough to be married t...

I like to boast about my IQ almost as much as I like to boast about having Aspergers Syndrome, both of which are the result of random genetic chance, one might as well boast of having an average or below average IQ, or skin color for that matter. I suppose the real problem is that there is a perceiv...

My other favorite is "everyone has that" to x-autism behavior, I got that last night at a gathering regarding my difficulties holding a conversation, typically I don't have conversations, its not like I don't know what a conversation is, I just don't know what to freaking talk about so I don't say a...

I absolutely hate sitting on the floor, but I hate chairs also, I do love a big comfy sofa and I have yet to find a computer chair which is actually comfortable but I spend most of my time at home in front of my computer, I feel lost if I'm not plugged into the internet.

I am building a jeep cherokee which will be at least as capable as this one http://imageshack.us/a/img713/3134/81ti.jpg I love to drive, but I hate other drivers because most people are stupid, I'll just say that driving off road requires a certain amount of skill, and I love to drive off road

I had a lot of general anxiety as a child (I still do), I was terrified of flushing the toilet in grade school, I think that there is more to this than just fear, I think that it is a combination of an ability to understand the deeper meaning of what is happening, all the possible scenarios are play...

In the next picture there I am, hands on my cheeks, absolutely freaking out thinking something horrible was going to happen to the intrepid balloonists. Note that my mom and brothers are, shall we say, less than impressed by the spectacle of lighter than air flight. [img][800:692]http://imageshack.u...

The Lost Continent http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063240/ For some reason I saw this flick when I was very young in the movie theater, I was probably about 10 give or take a year or two at the time, I believe it was around Christmas time because the movie theater at the mall showed free movies to occu...

Well so far the people I have told have behaved like I am just making excuses for my behavior rather then offering an explanation for why I behave the way I do, basically I have had 45 years to figure stuff out and autism only effects children :wall: I have meet a 20 year old girl at work (I'm a 45 ...

This is precisely how I learned about being Autistic, I had no idea at the time I had become obsessed, or that I was even autistic, but then with that "lack of social rules thing" I really said some things I ought not to have in an email and this person has never spoken to me since. This all happene...

Wear a wedding ring. When people get to know you well enough to work out you're not married and ask about the ring, tell them you are tired of explaining to either men or their partners that you are not not looking for a relationship. Say it's your I-am-not-available ring. Lying about your marital ...
