I've been finding typos in a text we are using. This is how my prof replied to the last one I brought to his attention: "Thanks for this; that typo has been there for quite a while and it is amazing that neither I nor anyone else has spotted it." :D LM I've had to go to pay bills on an estate and e...

Other people touching me but mostly the cheap paper you get in paperbacks, it squeaks and scratches and makes your fingers feel dry and it drives me insane. Ebooks are the best invention evereverever. Ever... I used to prop my book up and try to use my forearms to keep me from having to touch the pa...

i like when the second two digits of a license plate can be related to the first two. Such as 4625 4+6 = 2 x 5 ... Or sometimes when its like 9325 and then I can just make it mean something like 5+2+3 is 10 and the 9 ahead of it makes a sequence and it works to make 6 7 if you subtract the first two...

I'm extremely careful about my personal hygiene, probably because I was an early physical bloomer in grade school and was teased for the inevitable phase into deodorant usage. I had to do this at my own speed as no one explained to me that this was a social faux pas. I don't think it has to do with ...

I tend to obsess about performance with my interests and have to complete the item perfectly. I get trapped in it sometimes like with minesweeper where I would spend thousands of games shaving seconds off of my time. I get frustrated when my results are in any way based on odd rather than skill, lik...

Think about things other than crappy food, crowded rooms, crazy neighbours (probably more than you), overworked nurses and doctors. If you can think of things other than these that are part of your life, those will all go away.

So the root of this is that you're arguing for affirmative action in magazine article titling. I realize you care a lot about diagnostic measures and that they are apparently wrong so I again will point out that, Neither I nor the magazine said "to the exclusion of all else". The fact is, what will ...

I was trying to point out the perspective of a magazine publisher, the typical reader, and that your message was an attempt to cause this sort of hubbub. I'm sorry I played into your argumentative hands by responding to your inflammatory comment about an already long title not saying, "Learning to L...

The example is of a male with Aspergers and a female NT but the same strategies work the other way around as long as you don't try to create a conflict where there ought to be none. The article is targeted at NT women dealing with an aspie male which is a far more likely scenario than vice versa as ...

Take a deep breath first and give yourself a hug. Really. Okay, you don't have to hold yourself to other people's standards of happy. Figure out what things do make you happy. I like being alone, and for a long time people told me that this was wrong and that I need to get out more, so they'd drag m...

I got fired from a job where we were expected to sell an anti-septic product and I had explained that it was weak bleach before it occured to me that people don't want to put weak bleach on their kids, even though chemically it was. My boss gave me pamphlets to try and change my mind but it is what ...

A big part of policing is being visible, so they often take lunches or park in obvious places. They want criminals to be paranoid and the public to feel safe. Nothing bad came of it! Woo! I've been stopped as a kid because people thought I was shoplifting because I'd walk around very quickly with my...

What advice do you want particularly... If you like him, then stay with him, if you don't then don't? Whether he is autistic or not has no e... |

I usually have one good friend for about 5 years at a time, or through the stages of my youth, grade school, high school and college. I've had a few girlfriends but the longest last about a year and the shortest much shorter. I make it as long as I do largely because I am good at sex, its like a puz...
