ReplacedAxe; There are other threads here that do talk about how those on the spectrum have handled being in the military, good and bad issues. I do think there currently is a policy against allowing those with Aspergers to join the military, but since you don't have an official diagnosis you don't ...

OK as the OP, here are some random thoughts generated from the responses in this thread: There could be some training value for fighter jets to respond, but really that is an expensive exercise. Maybe like sometimes people getting lost or injured for their own stupidness are having to pay for the se...

A flight being diverted is not really news but: An international flight from Las Vegas to Frankfurt made an emergency landing at Denver International Airport escorted by two F-16 fighter jets Friday night after what officials called a "disturbance on the plane." What good could 2 F-16 figh...

I didn't want to hijack the thread about "Uniquely Human" but what if those on the spectrum, those who were neuro-diverse were in the majority? What if Alex ran the world? :)

Rocket123, you started this thread last year and have had some very good discussion both then and here in the last month or so. I would be curious to know if your wife's opinion of your friends has changed any? Also, in telling your story in the Original Post, you said "Afterwards, my wife comm...

So you were hoping it would be a turn off for them? Maybe that came across in your voice?

Or you also put it out there for even the ones that were favorable?

Just curious, helping the married man was a work or school situation? I don't see what your mother says.

Well then you can really have fun here on WP, go over to PPR and jump in. There are several here who make well researched points on various topics. And sometimes, there are those who take it to an emotional level and just tell you the truth but not in love.

Looks like I missed this one when the OP started it. I do believe in heaven and think I will go there when I die.

For those who have thought about this eventuality, have you had any kind of talk with your family or friends about how then you want your funeral to be?

Well KK, AB I have a few years on you, so since we are old compared to many here, is it time to start putting together and working on the Bucket List?

I do some volunteer work for a hospice and visit with a man who is 93. That makes me feel younger.

This sounds a lot like what you posted on 25 June- "Hi, everyone. I have decided that I'm finished trying to find a boyfriend. After being rejected or shot down long ago, I am going to focus on God, family, friends, and school."

I'm not sure I understand your line of thought. Just because you could be at the place where "things are happening," how would that defeat loneliness? One could be in the middle of a large crowd of people and still feel alone. My thought on defeating loneliness is to either make connection...

So I take it you grew up in Michigan? How was it life took you to Charleston? This will sound a little strange, but when I was in seminary in Louisville, KY, I worked in Michigan on the weekends. There were 4 or 5 of us in a van that would go to different parts of Michigan to try to start Baptist ch...

I think that is what is happening, the incident happened about a year ago and now the sheriff and the school are being sued. And because of that they, the A CLU, put the video out there.

Well infilove, that would seem to say you had a really good vacation. I'm sure Michigan this time of year is a good bit cooler, or at least not stifling hot, as it probably is in South Carolina.

So were you visiting relatives or did find something touristy to do in Michigan?
