Can't comprehend words in written form.

Must say words out loud while reading them.

Common?

Anyone else do this?

What is this visual thinking thing? I think in pictures, but I'm told other people don't. How does a person think if not in pictures?

I've asked this before, but need to again because I'm really hoping to get an answer.

Has anyone with Autism/Aspergers ever been told they may have Marfan Syndrome? Do the symptoms ever get confused or misdiagnosed (early on)?

"Not-ism" - I think it's a way better term than "NT", but that's just me. Anyway, Has anyone ever heard of AS being similar to/confused with/misdiagnosed as Marfan Syndrome? Or has anyone been told they have Marfan Syndrome or been tested for it? I was told I had it by my doctor at Mayo, but never g...

What are the potential problems of getting a diagnosis?

Are there any?

Thanks,

Interesting topic, shame people ended up arguing about hocus pocus water... You are hilarious. Anyway, I have this problem too. I'm certain it is due to ultra general and therefore meaningless language. It's like if someone says "that person has changed" and expects anyone to know what the f*** the...
