| My mother never believed I could live by myself or drive (proved her wrong both times). Sometimes you just have to show them what you can do, rather then tell them. Keep vet tech as a backup plan maybe, and try for veterinarian schooling. |

| Don't give up. Keep interacting with them and engaging with them. With or without a diagnosis, it can do nothing but good. The earliest help they receive, even if it's just reciting the alphabet and singing nursery rhymes to them, the better. |

| It is normal over the course of life to replace old interests with new ones. You say some things aren't as interesting as they once were, perhaps trying to find some new interests? There are plenty of things one can enjoy without friends or company. Hope this helps. |

After a difficult day at work, I love to watch kittens on youtube! Never fails to cheer me up.
As for myself, I've two cats: Eulailia (the vet can never spell that right), an almost 15 year old part-siamese, and Itty Bitty, an almost 7 year old black cat with white toes on each foot.

| I also think Aspie is too cute. I prefer Aspergian, it just sounds more dignified to me. Kind of like Bavarian, Hungarian, Canadian, ect. |
