These issues never showed up in my childhood.

My bottles of cologne. People seem to think that just because I keep a bottle in my car that it's for community use! It's my bottle, I paid for it, and you don't get to smell like me. Get your own. It really irks me for some reason. It's one of the only things I feel possessive about actually. I enj...

Yes, I always have. I have a huge fear of being in the public eye. I feel like anytime I'm around people they are my audience and I must behave appropriate to expectations; from what I'm wearing to where my hands are, to my facial expressions. Hell, even this post gives me a panic attack. Any time I...

Adderall <3 where would I be without it? Literally cannot leave the house without having taken it. IT gives me the push i need to accomplish simple tasks like getting out of bed and dressed. Doesn't help with focus for class, but it does get me to class which would undoubtedly be impossible without ...

I started doing this my freshman year of highschool randomly in geometry class. I don't know why I remember but it was the last period of the day and we were lined up ready to leave class and I just started biting. I've done it ever since, only stopping for a small amount of time (month or so) in be...

I've never been obsessed with people. My obsessions were material or otherwise. But recently I met someone and we started talking and they have completely taken over my life. My thoughts are consumed by this person and I just cannot stop. I've never been in a relationship before, maybe it's just som...

Hello everyone! I am having issues with expensive obsessions. Every few months I come across something new to research and look into....and 99% of the time I end up buying it. I don't want to sound like a conceited dirtbag....but I want you guys to realize how bad it is (or maybe I just see it as b...

I can relate - I find something I want, then obsess over it until I get it. I actually get very anxious until I buy the item. Ranges from $10 up to many many thousands. Fortunately I have the income to support my purchases, but it doesn't seem to be a sane way to behave. I realised that I was chasi...

I cannot sleep with light or noise. Any noise bothers me. I never wake up from a restful sleep.....I always wake up as if I've been up all night. My ear plugs block noise but the problem is that they cause me to hear my heart beat. I have the silicone ear plugs that pretty much block out all noise.....

I'm guilty in that, when I drink, I like to go on the internet and buy things. So far, I have 12 guitars, a bass, a violin and a melodica. Two days ago I purchased Sim Aquarium 3. Technically, it's free because I paid $14.95 but will be receiving a $15 rebate. Really, I'm nearly broke, but my guilt...

- Was/is your environment a particularly friendly bully-free one? I can honestly say I have grown up never encountering anything called bullying. I've never been bullied and have never witnessed it besides on tv. I've only had one instance where I could maybe call it bullying. During indoor recess a...

I'm thrifty and saving money is one of my special interests, especially concerning energy and heating costs, so I guess I'm quite the opposite. However, not to spend money unless I really have to is also an obsession. Well in that sense I am thrifty too....I love saving money on services and food.A...

It seems like you're trying to fill an emotional void with material possessions. I'm a self-described borderline book hoarder, so I tend to do this with books. To control my impulses, I have a rule for myself. If I see a book that I like, I don't buy it right away; instead I wait 2 weeks. If I can ...
