I'm a little concerned by the whole "call-out culture" thing: http://www.dailydot.com/opinion/adria-richards-pycon-call-out-culture/ It makes me feel very unsafe. Reminds me of how I've felt in neurotypical culture for years where I never knew when I was going to offend someone for something and not... |

You might be an ASpie if... you're reading all the posts on this thread and you started at 12:00PM and it's 3:30AM and you lost all track of time and you realize that you should get some sleep... And you've just realized that this thread started 5 years ago, and it's 2:39am on January 3, 2010 and I... |

YMBAAI: you got distracted by the beauty of the bubbles at the top of the freshly opened cola bottle. Seriously - they were this incredible lattice of bubbles and it was fascinatingly beautiful! |

It bothers me that all the folks in mediveal movies have such. . .perfect teeth. I agree. They didn't have dentists or modern toothbrushes, but they also didn't eat much if any sugar, and they ate quite a bit of coarse, fibrous food that automatically cleaned their teeth while chewing (and such coa... |

[quote="tcorrielus"]I'm thinking about visiting Europe this summer or summer 2011 (depending on how much money I save before the summer starts). If any of you guys have traveled to Europe before or many times, then I NEED SOME ADVICE from you. Watch out for August in Italy. The country shu... |

Completed. I don't suppose we'll have the opportunity to see the results of your study (as in, access to your paper)? I'm curious to know and you'd probably get some interesting feedback on here. I can post the results here - it's not going to be a "published paper", just a paper for class. But I'l... |

I tried, but I ruined it after the first [response to a section]... I went and clicked the "next" button instead of hitting "enter." The back button didn't help (wasn't supposed to use it anyway), and the instructions say not to try taking the test again. I suppose I could have continued to ... |

Just to debug - did you click the NEXT button on the app, or the RETURN/ENTER key on your keyboard? If you clicked the "NEXT" button, how would you phrase it to distinguish between that and the RETURN/ENTER key on your keyboard? Thanks. I think I pressed the NEXT button, now you specify the two opt... |

J It simply didn't occur to me that your instructions would bother to tell me to press enter after each phrase simply so that each phrase would be on separate lines. But it has occcurred to me now. I thought that what the instructions meant were that each phrase I came up with had to have an ... |

Because your instructions for the [part of the study] said to press the enter key after each phrase I pressed it after I tapped in my first [response], and that was it; I was sent on to the next exercise! No chance to put more... . Thanks for letting me know. Just to debug - did you click the NEXT ... |

I always sit in the front row. It's easier to hear and concentrate on what the teacher is saying. And I don't notice how many people are there behind me. I have accommodations as well. It really helps. |

Hi folks: I'm hoping, now that the quarter is over and I've had a chance to debug my program, that folks will be willing to help me by participating in a short (less than 10 minutes) anonymous study so I can complete a project for a class. Anyone know anything about this article? http://www.news-medical.net/news/20091118/The-Center-for-Modeling-Optimal-Outcomes-discovers-causal-path-of-autism.aspx I'm dubious but wondering if anyone else has heard anything. I suspect they're just trying to make money from the pharmaceutical companies.... |

I've tested this repeatedly, on Firefox, Opera, Safari, and IE. So, of course, after I announce it, it starts to freeze. I'll have to figure out what happened and fix it. Sorry about that.
I've got a "sorry not working" page up now. |

Thanks for letting me know. I'll go back and see if I can fix it. Thought it was tested and working for everything... Sorry about that. |
