Sounds like you have AS as well. You have just learned to accept it and deal with it. It is harder for some than others. Remember to ASK him to do things. We do not handle commands very well.

It is not like AS can go away. Your brain thinks differently. That is definitely hyperfocus. You are an Aspie. We are always trying to disprove ourselves. Hence your inability to accept your diagnosis. On the plus side this tendency makes me produce very high quality work.

I can take suggestions but if you try to command me to do something you make an enemy of me. I have always been that way. My 5th grade teacher would always ask me to do everything rather than tell me and I would do whatever he asked me to. I have other elementary school teachers nervous breakdowns.

Did you act like them at their age? I know my problem with kids is that NT kids are not at all like AS kids. I took care of my 3 younger siblings but they all has AS like me. I can not relate to NT kids. Perhaps your parents better understood how to deal with the kids than you did because you could ...

Seriously, put a whiteboard up where he will see it frequently. I would not get anything done without my whiteboard. Do not overwhelm him with too many tasks at once. Keep the list on the whiteboard and tell him you will not b***h at him if he completes 1 or 2 tasks off of it. I really think you wil...

Its very simple actually. Do you have what is known as hyperfocus? If you do you most likely have AS/ADHD. ADHD is a common co-morbid condition with AS.

Your life is never as bad as it seems. Life can always start over new. I have kept a bug out bag packed since I was nine. Every time life got hard I would consider if it was time to disappear into the mountains. Life just never seemed bad enough to leave. My best friend will always tell someone who ...

That is bullying behavior. She has a preconceived notion that smoking weed somehow makes you lower as a person so she points out that someone is less of a person so she can feel like more of a person. Bullying behavior comes from a position of insecurity. She probably feels her social position is be...

Libertarianism is half assed Anarchism. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Libertarianism leaves the state in place with nothing to control further corruption down the line. They also leave the state created fictional entities known as Corporations intact. Adam Smith warned against corpora...

I would disagree with only this point in your statem...

In the level of reality we play on, the world is, in fact, deterministic. Does this eliminate free will? I do not think so. I hold the position of Compatibilism.

"I wouldn't be proud of something that destroys my inner peace." You can still find inner peace. Nothing about what we are stops us from finding our center. If anything it is easier for us to understand how than NTs. Society has convinced you to estrange yourself from your spirit. Find your Tao and ...
