Yeah I don't like mint took away the mark all updates button in synaptic. I have also seen lxde customized to look like unity. I actually dual boot into a distro called lxle sometimes and it has a preconfigure lxde that is similar to unity in some respects but doesn't have all the online search in d...

2009 hp laptop I got before I went to college. It is now running lubuntu even though I could run something heavier. It has a core 2 duo t6500 which unfortanetly doesn't have vt-x so running virtual machines is slow. Also I don't like the broadcom wifi if using linux.

Not sure this is the most productive use of US policy. How many iraqis died in violence from a war there.

I actually think this is bad for society as a whole. I tend to end up thinking about David Ricardo's idea of comparative advantage with differences and work needing to get done have people specailise in what they give up the least total production and the economy becomes more efficient. Like having ...

I found the part on cortisol interesting and stress. I got invited back for a second interview and I relaxed by listening to music for a little bit before my job interview and was able to speak more easily. I think I need to find a way to focus my thoughts and reduce stress while waiting for the int...

I absolutely agree. In the nightmarish position I described, I was expected to be working software QA morning to night, and fit customer service tickets into my nonexistent breaks, or answer them at home when my contract explicitly said I wouldn't be compensated. I don't think that company really h...

I am a Boy Scouts leader and have recently had a young man join our troop that has Asperger's. I am totally clueless how to work with this boy. I took him to summer camp and he drove me NUTS, primarily because I didn't know he had this issue. If I had previous knowledge of his issue I would have be...
