We use BODMAS in Australia, too - the problem is that, while everyone agrees that B, D, M, A and S stand for brackets, division, multiplication, addition and subtraction respectively, everyone seems to have their own opinion about what the O stands for. I've heard that it's o f (meaning implicit mul...

It's a What If scenario, hale. Use your *Imagination*! ! *forms rainbow with hands* ALL the seats would be window ones!! And the seat does't make an exploding sound when you flush it. All the seats would be window seats AND aisle seats. That way you have the best of both worlds. And you're guarante...

Each letter is supposed to stand for one of the verbs that uses être as its auxiliary instead of avoir . I never found that useful in t...

My cat's so smart that she knows whether Schrödinger's cat is alive or dead. Unfortunately she's non-verbal and her handwriting is illegible, so I haven't been able to work out what the answer is.

I do think, though, that we need to defend ANZAC Day from those who want us to celebrate, rather than lament, the events that led to it. I think that ANZA...

I love Final Fantasy 7. It's also the only Final Fantasy game that I have actually finished. And I think I've finished ...

Well, I am Australian, so that's what I understand economic rationalism to mean. What did you mean by the term? Anyway, we could just as easily have a 29 page debate on the merits of liberalism if you wanted. Or any other ideology, really. Such is the nature of ideology. What is different about libe...
