I'm 30 freaking years old and I only just now am learning this. I'm simultaneously excited that a whole new world has opened up, and frustrated/angry that I've been doing it wrong for so long and thrown away so many opportunities. Frustrated with how I seem to repel people in social situations, I bo...

Any time I'm infatuated with a woman, basically as soon as she reciprocates I suddenly completely lose interest. It's really frustrating and I don't know why it happens. Maybe hearing the L word triggered that response in him.

I've been drinking Soylent for ~2/3 of my daily calories for about 5 months now. I love it - it's pretty much life-changing. I have periods where I eat more or less normal food (over the holidays I barely drank any Soylent at all), but I don't think I'll ever go back to having normal food as the mai...

I think you MUST talk to her in person before adding her on Facebook. A random add from guy who sits across the room but won't make eye contact with you is pretty creepy. You're both taking the same class, it should be easy to come up with some excuse to start a conversation about it - "man thi...

I'm also AS and clueless, so take this with grain of salt: I don't think this is the right attitude. I've done the same thing as you all my life, and let me tell you that it's not a good strategy. You like a girl, you never really interact much, unsurprisingly nothing develops and eventually you say...

I don't really see any value in the specific things he says, but I found it interesting to observe the flow of the conversation. I noticed that by comparison, I tend to ask questions that don't leave the other person enough room to talk, and I'm too eager to jump in with things to say sometimes beca...

Here are a few videos I found helpful. The guy is pretty douchey and their conversation is incredibly dull, but I think there is still a lot to be learned from how he handles the interaction. I liked trying to think of what I would say if it was me there. I think what you can see of his body languag...

I remember that smiling has a tendency to correct any issue I really ever had in the body language department. Things seemed to flow naturally from there and I never had to pay attention to my body language. I would think group gatherings would be where I need to find more effort in smiling. You ne...

I just watched a few videos and thought you guys might find them helpful. They made me realize I've been doing a lot of things horribly wrong and I've been sending out mixed/negative signals when I don't mean to. Apparently I've been completely oblivious to the very important nonverbal component of ...

Date all you want. Living at home is financially smart. +1. Just be confident about it. Don't say "yeahhhh... still living at home  " and be embarrassed about it. Say it matter-of-factly and nonchalantly, and if they have a problem with that, well, **** em. Have reasons to explain why you pre...

I have a reference on my profile that kind of compels a lot of people to message me, too, and I don't know if or to what extent I should respond if I'm not intere... |

I can solve a Rubik's Cube on average... I'd say under 50 seconds. Anyone can learn to solve the Rubik's Cube that fast. The difference is that most people don't care about Rubik's Cubes. I, on a personal level spent a whole week with one in my hands for 80 percent of my waking hours going from no ...

We have more trouble holding jobs which means we're less likely to have good healthcare and things like that. It has been shown that married people and people with lots of social relationships t... |

I wonder if I don't focus more closely on characters in shows that I do on people in real life, at least most of the time. When I watch a movie or a show, I tend to focus entirely on the show, but when I interact with a person, a lot of other things may make demands on my attention. The lack of fee...
