Let me break it down for you. When a person claims that suicide will end a person’s suffering, they are making a religious claim about the nature of life after death. This cannot be avoided. They are counting on the fact that there is no conscious existence beyond the grave, or that whatever greets ... |

What's your point? I see those paragraphs as scare tactics. Typical of organized religion. I don't count on the fact that there's no existence beyond the grave. I do hope that if it exists it will be beyond the judgmental BS of this world, and that if there is a loving god, that love includes those... |

Why are you treating me this way? Have I done something to you personally that you would join in on another attempt to humiliate me? I'm not the one humiliating you, you are humiliating you. Tech called your bluff (and called you) I was agreeing with him. "Obvious troll is obvious" hahah Jake |

Even if all religions are bogus, so what? The act of taking one's life is without question detrimental to everyone involved.
If Christianity is correct, the ramifications and consequences for an action such as that are eternal.

@TallyMan Have you ever walked into the ICU room to see your close friend strapped to life support? Have you ever wondered if the pain that she felt was horrific or if any at all. Have you ever looked into the eyes of someone you have admired and all you see is cold, lifeless beady eyes? Do you know... |

I'm furious at his clueless insensitivity. I'm taking a break from this thread for a while before I do something stupid like abusing my mod powers and banning the dick from the site. I think we have just experienced a HUGE breakdown is communication. I was saying that the suffering has meaning (Whe... |

You're really rubbing salt into the wound there, NAKnight. That's not the right place to insist upon one's obligation to suffer. One is welcome to choose the same fate for their own that you demand for others regardless of context and determination however. I wasn't saying it was she was "obligated... |

Total and utter BS. It is clear you are talking through your ass about something you do not have the faintest idea about. You have to live through someone close going through the above to understand. All you say are pretty words that don't mean a crap when you're not the one suffering, day after da... |

If you'd lived through the last few months of my mothers life as I've just outlined you wouldn't be so black and white. There is no Always. How would you feel about your life if you vomited almost everything you ate, you had to be spoon fed and could only eat food that had been blended into a thin ... |

You admit facts overwhelmingly supports Evolution and Darwinism. Yet you choose to believe otherwise. That is no different form believing the Earth is flat. Yet you what to call your choice 'rational'? I call it making a choice. If determinism is true, I wouldn't be able to adjucate that decision, ... |

I will interject my 0.02. The gun control lobby has a question they must ponder upon. What is the legal definition of a gun ? If you cannot legally define a gun how can you control/regulate it? A assault rifle can be anything. My paintball gun can be an assault rifle. It projects multiple rounds dow... |
