I get told this a lot as well. I just don't feel the need to smile to show that I am having a good time or that I'm happy. Usually I'll let it go but lately it's been really annoying me when people say 'smile' to me. example: Last week I was at a friend's 18th birthday and I was watching a routine d... |

Dear Friend, I'm sorry we are not friends anymore. You made up most of my childhood and have been in and out of my life for years. There is something special in you that you will never understand because you leave hate bloke it and you try to be something you're not . I still think of you now and th... |

I'm by far not an expert on creating websites and all that but I went through it and I found it to be really interesting and accurate enough ( obviously hard to write down every single thing people on the spectrum have to deal with 'cos it's so varied). I'd definitely show it to my friends and relat... |

I'm sitting alone in my room right now avoiding a social gathering. i guess they all think I'm stuck up, but I just can't handle it. I do that all the time when my noisy relatives come over!. They're so used to it they get a surprise when they do see me :P Also when I'm around friends and strangers... |

I feel the same way .Not depressed but just sad and weary at the moment. When I get like this I tend to think back on the friends I've lost because I'm not social enough and they got sick of waiting for me to become more like them I guess. The friends I do have left still don't fully understand why I... |

I'm not great with the social ques of being quiet or knowing when not to say something . For example last Christmas I was at a friend's house and her mom ,in front of her 7 year old daughter, ask me what I was getting for Christmas.I went on saying what I was getting then said that basically Santa w... |

Thanks for the prompt answers ! I'll definitely take your advice on the subject of the couple jokes and such.
If things don't change for the better I'll just have to some up the courage to ask her how she feels and explain things from my perspective. |

I'm Irish so I may be able to contribute. Some of the stereotypes are true( Irish people do drink a lot but not everyone does) but we in general are very friendly ( we are the land of a thousand welcomes after all lol ) . Irish people are usually pessimistic but again that depends on the person and ... |

I was sort of relieved when I found out. To me,it meant that I could give a name to my problems and know that I wasn't just a messed up teenager making a fuss about feeling down and isolated. When I researched it , it all made sense . |

I'm 17 and was diagnosed with Asperger's only a few months ago. I always knew there was something a bit off with me compared to my siblings and other people but my main concern is my breakdowns. I just want them to stop. I feel so childish when they happen and I try to avoid people when I feel like ... |
