I use “abstract”, mainly due the NT's inability to wrap their brains around it.

ASD is going to an important part of life. You have every right to learn about it. That is not a obsession. Asperger's is not you personality. It creates an outer shell that others think is your personality. You have every right to create your own accommodations. The school has no right to interfere...

Have you ever had a person interfere with the diagnoses process that wasn't specifically trained in ASD?

This type of situation often occurs for adults too. Part of the problem is that the institution pays the “security team” . This give the institution the power to threaten us with violence, even when we are being professional. They said, in the video, that they had previously been threatened. As a sp...

Whenever I here somebody talk about “white male privilege” , I have to wonder what privilege they are talking about. Yes, it does exist, even with the majority, but as people who fight for justice we can't speak in absolute terms. I have never seen it. If I were offered a chance to join a group (it ...

I see myself as some where between a 21st century, “Socialism from the ground up”, Socialism and anarcho-syndicalism. (I would love to see a society where those are the 2 parties.) Maybe there has to be an authority, but it is us. It is a myth that Aspies lack empathy. That is not true. We are capab...

Actually, denial aside, you were mocking, even bullying. We have a struggle that is much greater than your ego. The solution of that struggle is solidarity, not infighting. Oh, do come along now. Bullying? Really? The way I saw it, it was a sardonically-expressed invitation for OP to tell us more, ...

You don't know that for sure. I'd hazard a guess that the lack of empathy, insight and marked egocentricity of those with AS would lead to them actually being worst in regards to understanding others, no matter if they have the same disorder or not. I'd also say that any meetup of people with an AS...

most people can detect that you have autism by your behaviors that you do... so you don't have to tell... they got an auto-autism from the sheeple... its like they know from your actions... It may even be muscle control. I know it often happens before I speak. That is why I use the term “abstract d...

I have always had the ability to go within myself while I am thinking. Then a person who coincidentally places himself or herself in front of my eyes accuses me of staring at them.

So what I'm gathering is that your parents are evil because they want you to bring your dirty dishes to the sink. Sarcasm and mockery, whether justified or not, aren't a good idea for a moderator of a support forum. :? I wasn't mocking; I was just going by the example given. With everything that pe...

I didn't think that post was mocking. I thought it was just pointing out that asking him to bring his plates to the sink wasn't exactly an abusive expectation on the parents' part. Bringing big issues like solidarity and infighting into a simple comment like that is blowing things out of proportion...

Dysgraphia is a recognized disability. When you walk into an institution and they throw a form in your face saying “Here, fill this out.”, they are violating the law. That is a style of access. They are required to provide an electronic version of the form, just like that ramp in front of the door. ...

I have thought that this was logical. It may be difficult for those who have already resigned themselves into forced isolation. That would require organization. It also may not work with Aspies who are still investing all their energy into being accepted by NTs. They would use the other Aspies to pr...
