There are a couple of asperger's groups, but they seem to be comprised of mostly college kids and very young adults. Or the groups are full of PARENTS of little kids...

I've only recently realized I have AS. It explains so many of the "idiosyncrasies" that I had always thought were caused by an abusive childhood. I have AS and my husband is NT. When I feel frustrated/stressed/depressed is when I lack "tact" the most. In my head the thoughts sound like this..."being nice is really just a way humans avoid conflict, gain power in relationships, and minipulate others into liking them." Of course I know that's not completely true. For example,...

I have been bullied as an adult at work. I am not sure if it is me or if it is my profession. Nurses (esp labor and delivery nurses) seem to think they are super-special and make you prove yourself before you're invited into their little club. The type of bullying I have experienced has been direct:...

This past week I have been at the end of my rope. Once again I'm in a situation where even though I feel like I am trying my hardest to fit in at my new job, I can't. I'm overwhelmed by the lack of specific instructions. Every person you work with does things a different way and they each want it do...
