I do doubt my diagnosis at times. The child psychiatrist who diagnosed me even said that she was using AS as a "reference" to treat me. Also, many people tell me they would have had no idea I have AS. This may be in part due to my skill at acting NT, which I've developed over the years.

I will begin my final semester of uni in January and I expect to graduate in May, if everything goes well. Can't say it was easy, but I'm hopeful for the road ahead.

I finished a cover letter for a job I really want and talked to the person I know in the company. He said I could refer to him in my application which will be great since connections are so important in the film industry.

I believe I've posted here before but it was a long time ago. I'm almost 22 and live in St. Louis, MO, USA. I'm female and am in my final semester studying English/International Studies for my undergraduate degree. I plan on pursuing a career in film production. I love sci-fi and fantasy movies/book...

Yeah, my first question still went unanswered, what are your intellectual achievements. starrynightmare and halfmadgenius? Or you just think that you deserve to marry up just because...*gulp*... you receive 1000s of messages on dating sites? It's fine to be elitists but are you Elites yourselves? I...

I understand where you're coming from, halfmadgenius. I have a great need to have intellectual conversations and be on a similar level of engagement with the world as the one I date. I've also been called elitist, but it's a personal preference I would rather not abandon for the sake of avoiding tha...

Hi! Those of you who've seen me around know I'm an English major. I'm one of those nerds who obsesses over fictional characters, as a lot of us do. I finally figured out that a novel I read for a class last year has messed with my love life. Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood is not anywhere close to...

Thank you for adding "If they have confidence" on the poll. I'd love to date an Aspie guy but the ones I meet seem to have little or no self-confidence. When you're as ambitious as I am it's really hard to fight that contrast.

For me I think it's a combination of things. I tend to be really inept at physical affection beyond kissing. Also, I think I am "friendzoned" a lot -- I can relate to guys as friends but they never see me as a romantic interest. Sure I'm a geeky girl but I'm a geeky romantic girl! I also don't wear ...

Great article. I'm definitely that huge weirdo who tries to find a partner methodically. I do want to raise kids with a husband, which makes my choice of partner infinitely important and difficult. Arg. |

I'm a virgin by choice though guys have wanted to have sex with me. Since I've kept my virginity for so long (relatively speaking) I want my losing it to be meaningful and in a loving relationship. I have yet to find that relationship.

This thread makes me feel a little better about a situation I've had on the backburner for a while. Anyway. When I was abroad in Madrid I semi-dated this guy who fell for me big time. He goes to school in Madrid mostly (he's doing a semester in Geneva now) so I haven't seen him since early 2013 when...
