My CPN think zoloft is making me hypomanic. Apparently I was talking very quickly, jumpy, could not sit still, and unable to concentrate at our meeting yesterday.

So I have to see the psych again on Monday.

This. Despite what people think, BPD is scarily similar to an ASD, particularly Aspergers.

I had an episode of it this summer. I basically thought I was hearing peoples thoughts, became convinced that they were attempting to kill me or "push me over the edge with there thoughts", and announced that I was going to "take action before they did to protect myself" panicking my psych and almos...

I almost feel bad posting this, but I think I may finally be finding stability. And it's a relief. My psych is worried that the Sertaline/Zoloft hasn't had the full time to take effect yet, and it's going to cause a manic episode even with the sodium valproate/depakote. I'm slightly worried as well....

I have high anxiety, depression and apparent bi-polar. I started taking a medication after years of denial (Atarax), but it seemed to make my heart flutter more, so I had to stop after getting the second container. I really need to try some antidepressants because I don't want a horrible year like ...

I've been given a higher dose of depakote, prescribed sertaline (zoloft) and told to come off the prozac. I'm scared. Prozac and Celexa both made me unwell and f****d up my moods. Celexa made me extremly angry and irritable. I was breaking things, aiming them across rooms, running away from home. Pr...

Apointment thursday, massive bipolar breakdown today. Everyone seems to hate me and I feel useless. Depakote is making me sleep a lot as well. At least I don't feel sick anymore, I guess.

I still hate them, and I hate my psych. I hate everyone. I just seem to be failing at...everything.

Yup. Even sometimes on support forums, even on here, I'll come across posts that say "stay away from people that are bipolar" or "stay away from borderlines" because they'll f**k up your lives. They treat us as though we are not humans and capable of functioning. And these are the very same people t...

This may seem like a stupid question, but how do I post?

Also, is it okay if I share the link on other sites? I know a few places.

Yes, he told me to watch myself carefully, and if anything seems to be going wrong, to let him know immediately and we'll change medication. I was really quite surprised that he doesn't prescribe lithium. I thought that was the standard. I asked him if this medication would prevent mania as well as...

I asked him about medication and to my surprise, he said he considers lithium to be a very outdated way of treating bipolar disorder. Instead, he gives his patients antidepressants, which he says level most people out so these extremes don't happen anymore. I had a bad experience with an SSRI years...

I'd go with diagnosis withheld. I'm suggest calling it "Psychiatric doctors and there stuck up idealist BS" but it doesn't seem catchy.

As to where to go, no idea. Wordpress, blogger, tumblr?

Day three of taking depakote/sodium valproate, and I'm feeling sick. Constantly. all the time. I haven't been sick. I just feel like I'm going to be. Only side effect I've noticed so far though, no other horrid ones. Weird thought today, after that hypomanic episode I had, I'm almost scared that the...

Good luck. This psychologist actually told me that I should just self-medicate with alcohol, drugs, and tranquilizers. She said it obviously was enough to get me through it this time, so I should just stick with that and (what are the magic words?) "try not to worry about it." Great advice, doc. Re...
