Yes I am a huge metal fan, although only in the past couple years I've gotten into death metal. I found Death (esp. Human) to be awesome, and Necrophagist as well. Listening to Demilich as well. But the one thing I've noticed is that I really like the guitar riffs and drumming, but am rather indiffe...

I apologize for the fact that you have only ever had bad experiences with ABA. Things have changed a great deal since Lovaas pioneered it. There are no aversives, only absence of a reward (be it verbal praise or a tangible thing like candy) when an incorrect or no response is given. As for the pers...

I can think of a number of bands that have clean vocals...also they don't actually 'scream' the vocals, that would ruin their vocal cords the growling vocals actually take practice and aren't meant to be forced, even the more screechy vocals are that way. But to each their own, if you don't like th...

do you know any metal that doesn't say sad things? literally every single Metal song I have heard has deep lyrics its true, but there huge debby downers. Pretty much most power metal and progressive metal is not about "sad" things. Power and progressive metal (although especially power me...

You don't get it. I'm against banking any type of gun any God dsm single gun. I'm against banning simi auto guns, bolt action guns, .50 cal guns. Any gun. Banning any gun is anti gun, banning any gun is a step towards banning all guns . So no I will never support Bernie never. He wants to ban the m...

My son wasn't nonverbal, and I don't have experience with either therapy, but in my reading I came across a program called DIR/Floortime that I was very impressed with. Their program focuses on using play to engage the child and gently draw him or her into more and more reciprocal interaction with ...

Very strange, I'm reading that Deep Purple, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden aren't in the Rock and Roll HOF. Someone might not be a fan of heavy music, but those bands were massively influential in the development of metal. Plus no Ronnie James Dio? He's really one of the most outstanding rock/metal v...

He sure did a lot. This is a sad loss. :(

Willow is a great soundtrack.

Okay I couldn't resist. You didn't really address the other points I made on this hypothetical situation, but straw man arguments are always a way to make you feel good about how smart you are. Such as? Your argument seems to be 'the US military is so technologically advanced that resistance would b...

Dox47, I'm not going to go back and forth any further with you over this hypothetical scenario, but I do disagree strongly with how you see this conflict panning out. Rest assured I've never read a page of Tom Clancy. Our predictions of human behavior vary too widely to find any common ground, and o...
