Sure I'd go for a class like that. Like many others have echoed I am somewhat skeptical. However if you can explain how you did it in concrete terms that are directly applicable and if you could be precise about the situations each of your skills applies to that is what is needed to get through to t... |

I think feelings are beside the point. I would feel anxious all day long if I knew I would get friends out of it, either through experience leading to knowledge or just a better command of my emotions. I think that is tru for a lot of NTs. What I am talking about here is possibly an inability to for... |

That's true that they have problems. It's just that their problems are more in the locus of their control. That working through these problems will make them better people for it. For me, perhaps accepting I'm locked out of the friendships other people take for granted or that are a real possibility... |

Are their any NTs or people who have gotten insight into NTs if it is really easy for NTs to make friends once they put their mind to it? Now I know not everyone is destined to be friends but I am talking about given the normal sized group if it easy for them to make at least a few friends if they w... |

They're the ones that think in black and white. We just don't hit it quite right if we try to think like them. What makes us different (and a bit inefficient for most things) is we actually think in all the hues that they don't see. Then when they try to understand what we are doing, the whole proc... |

I don't think most rich people are awful. But I do think it is unfair that they get better public services. I pay taxes too. Skibum, please note that having a discussion with someone who uses specific arguments and then says the opposite when challenged on it makes the conversation extremely hard. ... |

I think you are right on target with what you say. If I lived in a rich neighborhood, the police would do something. I was pulled over the other day for rolling a stop sign in a rich neighborhood a few blocks from my house. There was no one else around at all. I was going so slowly that I had not e... |

If they are savages, then it is not rudeness you are talking about. They seem to be using the music to assert their dominance and you may be challenging them on it. The cops maybe think they have bigger issues on their plate and are weighing the cost/benefit of harassing them. The thing with a holes... |

I think they are being logical but not in the way you expect. People want two things out of every interaction: respect and autonomy. They also read nonverbal expressions very carefully and put more weight on them in general. If you want to be successful, I'd suggest watching your nonverbal communica... |

You can, but realize women are looking for a good deal for themselves too. I'd definitely follow the previous posters' advice on not forcing things. That goes without saying. If you'd like someone who could potentially be a long term partner or spouse, then.. Women like guys that are independent. Wo... |

Autism changes everything about your life. If you ask the average person what is the most important thing in their life, most of them will say friendships followed closely by family. Nobody would say hobbies or career or learning, yet that is my gift. So it is a gift, but it's a gift in an area tha... |

Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to say but more often than not, if the normal people pick up on that I think different, they go overboard with trying to out me. I have to very carefully navigate those situations and they seem to fester for long periods of time and you have to keep reassuring them ... |

I am in my mid 40s. I am married with a son (adopted). My job is very challenging and we have a good income and excellent savings/investment. I have been seeing my therapist for 14 years. As I work my a** off to learn how to put people at ease and make them comfortable, I am finding that the fact th... |
