I think it started because when you tell people you have "Ass-Burgers" they think it's a joke.

I told a co-worker and he started to do research...came back and said "oh, it's spelled "Asperger's", not "AssBurgers"!

I refer to my son as an Aspie, but I tell people I have Asperger's.

I took my wife with me to make sure she liked the area, so we left our good friend in charge of the kids for 3 days. 8yr old Aspie son: Mom, I know dad has to go but why do you have to go to? Mom: I need to be there for moral support. Son: Can't we just...

That last part, 35: Aspergers is real, really hit home for me. My son was diagnosed with ADD last year, but some things just didn't fit or feel right to us. Ah, I see now where you were going with that comment. How about this: If we are going with the Webster Medical definition of Disease, we can go with the Webster Medical definition of Aspergers Syndrome: a developmental disorder resembling autism that is characterized by impaired social interaction, ...

I'm loving the series and have thought of some more topics for you if you need them. But first, I want to comment on part 29 on the term "Disease". I understand that the we fit into the medical definition of having a disease, but also feel that this word carries with it some connotations that I don'...

I am 37. My first consoles were the Atari 2600 and the Odyssey 4000. I have always been a gamer, and always will. I got into computer games in the late '90s and that interest actually spurred me to go to college and put me in the career i'm in now, which is IT (not game development like I wanted). I...

New here from the USA but I thought I'd share my experience. My son was diagnosed with Aspergers last year. After going through the research and finding many similarities between he and I, I decided to get a diagnosis as well. I am 37. They told me that I most likely have Aspergers as well but did n...
