| I'm not sure I'd be able to gauge much from that. To me, from your description, it would seem like they were disinterested, but I wouldn't be confident enough in a real-life situation to made any sort of judgment on that. Nodding is simply a sign of acknowledgement that they're hearing you, and unde... |

I'm going to take a cue from Thagomizer's signature here, and blame Serissa for this. After all, how much more obvious can it be? "Blame Serissa!"... okay... it was probably her idea... |

| In California, you can own a gun, but you can't really carry in public and getting a concealed carry permit is very difficult and you have to get one for each county. So, it's not really realistic for me to own one while I'm here. I do want to move out of the state, however - and Texas has been high... |

| When I'm tired (and some of you who suggest sleep - well, some of us have sleep problems...), depending on how tired I am, any coordination I have can pretty much go out the window. I stagger around like I'm drunk. I'm not really able to follow conversations very well - sensory issues get much worse... |

| Eye contact? What's that? It's simply something I don't do... if I do do it, it's very very uncommon, as somebody earlier in the thread mentioned it, "micro-second" glances. I tend to even look away from the general direction of the people. I don't like the sensory load is places on me. I can either... |

| Tonight I was in class - my Unix system administration class. And had my laptop out. I wasn't particularly of the state of mind to pay much attention. I just started some new meds and they're slightly causing havoc among various brain functions. So I was in class for the sake of my attendance record... |

If you're on a Mac, the best IDE you can get for Java is Eclipse.
www.eclipse.org
If you're not on a Mac, the best you can get would be Metrowerk's Codewarrior Student Edition - be aware that the full version does NOT support Java. |
