oh, I've never come across the infinity sign being used for autism! what's the meaning/origin of that?

I'm not a fan of the puzzle piece if it's used to mean 'puzzling' or 'missing', but I like the idea of the bigger picture being incomplete without the perspective of people with autism.

Search 'SnapClock' on Facebook. It's a page selling cheap handmade custom autism/Asperger's awareness jewellery. It's nice stuff.

I've also seen good stuff on Etsy, Ebay and CafePress, but they're a little more expensive.

Any other sites?

Surely it's not just 'hormones'? I went to a mainstream school, so I can honestly say that a lot of my problems were due to social relationships becoming more complicated, a greater sense of self-awareness, and bullying.

I don't really look at faces in dreams and, when I do, they're usually not very clear. I also don't imagine what characters look like when I read fiction. Anyone else experience this?

Hi, I was diagnosed with AS, then later diagnosed with schizophrenia. The people who diagnosed me with schizophrenia were in a different city and never gained access to my medical records. The schizophrenia diagnosis never made any sense to me, and I've apparently recovered from schizophrenia (!) bu...

Oh wow. It seems that the stereotype varies! I think there's a different stereotype within the AS community, because there's more knowledge of asperger's. rather than being an organic stereotype, it's based on the most common symptoms. Typical aspies; we create stereotypes and base them in fact rath...

I went through a brief period of being cool. People said it was because I could just say what I thought and not care. People thought it was confidence, then shyness and mystery. But every time someone said that, I just hated myself a little bit more because I didn't know what it was I'd said that I ...

Hi,

I definitely don't fit the stereotype. I hate maths, I know nothing about trains... And I'm a girl.

I encounter people who have the attitude that if I don't fit the stereotype, then I don't have asperger's.

Does anyone actually fit the stereotype??
